This is a 4-star hotel surrounded by woods, situated half a mile from the beach of Vistula Bay and adjoining the former summer palace of Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany.

The hotel is a one hour drive from Gdansk, 15 minutes from Elblag, 40 minutes from the Malbork castle and 15 minutes from the Frombork cathedral.

Kadyny Country Club is in the Elblag Uplands in Poland on the edge of the National Park "Kadyny Woods", 12 miles from Elbląg and about 47 miles from Gdansk.

In the Kadyny Woods you will find not only the largest oak tree in Poland but also many varieties of birds trees and fauna as well as the rare Sika deer which was presented to Emperor Wilhelm II by the Japanese Emperor, over one hundred years ago. The woods make a fantastic setting for a walk and you may meet some wild boar, deer or pheasant on the way. Alonside the hotel is the former summer palace of Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany.

It is a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing with an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, dry and steam saunas, Jacuzzi, and mountain bikes. The characteristic “Distillery Restaurant” was once Kaiser Wilhelm's vodka distillery.

Food & beverage

The Old Distillery restaurant with its magnificent fireplace serves Polish cuisine and has a jazz bar that is open until the last guest leaves. You may also take your evening meal in the beautiful rose gardens.

Worth seeing in the area:

Gdansk (43 miles) - Gdansk has a very beautiful Hanseatic historic quarter and a very colorful history. It was here that the first shots were fired in the Second World War and also here that the Solidarity movement brought about the beginnings to the fall of Communism in Poland and Eastern Europe. Gdansk and her International Airport with ever increasing direct international flights are only an hour away.

Malbork (30 miles) - the largest Teutonic castle in Europe and is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Frombork (9 miles) - fortified cathedral and home to the famous astronomer Nicholas Copernicus who discovered that the Earth revolves around the Sun.

The Elblag-Ostroda Canal ( 25 miles) - this unique canal was designed for Kaiser Wilhelm and it is the only canal in the World where boats are pulled uphill on rails to overcome a difference in water levels of 300 ft.

Kaliningrad ( Konigsburg), Russia - a mere 75 minute boat ride from Frombork will take you to the center of Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave. Passports must be organized in advance.

Florian Young couple München, Germany July 29, 2011	Von Spa ist im Hotel wenig zu spüren. Die Zimmer sind mittlerweile ziemlich alt, das wlan sehr langsam... Aus dem Hotel könnte man mit dieser Geschichte viel mehr machen. Es stellt sich insbesondere die Frage, warum man aus einem ehemaligen Urlaubssitz von Wilhelm ii, ein Countryhotel im englischen Stil gemacht hat. Das Wohnhaus, das der Kaiser und dessen Nachkommen bis 1945 bewohnt haben, ist neben dem Hotel und sieht ziemlich baufällig aus. Rejon zalewu wiślanego polecam wszystkim przepięknie ! Po wejściu do środka czar pryska, wyposażenie fatalne totalnie bez gustu, jak można potencjał tak pięknego obiektu pałacowego tak zaprzepaścić. Unserem Sohn hat das Spielzimmer viel Freude gemacht. Der Strand ist fußläufig zu erreichen. ca. 800m. Sehr flaches Wasser mit Sandbänken. Sehr schön für Kleinkinder. The food in the restaurant (we only visited the small one) was very good and fair-priced. Several parts of the hotel do really need renovation, outside as well as inside the building. Especially taken the fact that it wants to be a 4 star hotel. The 'spa facilities' are rather poor (only one smaller swimming pool inside and one functioning sauna; the turkisch sauna cabin was out of order. There is no place to rest after using the sauna). Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt neben einen Gestüt, dieses wird aber bereits seit 2011 nicht mehr betrieben und verfällt. Daher ist insgesamt der bauliche Zustand der Gutsanlage unbefriedigend.
