Travelled with a group and were up-graded to fabulous rooms. Spa excellent. Staff very friendly. Great location.
Bathroom facilities not modern Too dark in the room and in the lobby
The decor: wonderful satin gothic curtains that pooled on the floor, hardwood doors with flawed wood. The bathroom: spa bath with lights; ceiling shower/light combo; l'Occitane products; marble floors, walls, surfaces with flaws to match the wood. Bedroom: plenty of room and storage, wonderful pull-out wall-lights, excellent full-length mirror, spacious and comfortable bed. Spa: superb pool, spa, steam room & sauna. Pleasant and helpful staff. Central location beside the Opera: we heard a soprano warming up from our room. Manned public parking across the road only £10 a day. Rooftop terraces and bar. 5 Star luxe at considerably less than a Premier Inn anywhere in UK with added style and real history.
The marble floors in the spa are lethal when wet: my wife slipped over. I had to unscrew the plug-hole cover in the bathroom sink to clear a blockage. Yes I could have asked Housekeeping, but it gave me something to do during a quiet half hour...
The style of the hotel Quality of bed, shower and interior
Pool was closed which was a disappointment as we were looking forward to relax there after a stressful day, TV in the room didnt work, breakfast completely overpriced (70zl) for the quality provided
The location is great. Near the city square by restaurants and nightlife. The hotel was generally clean and quiet.
We stayed here two non-consecutive nights. The first night the bar and restaurant staff was terrific. The second night, we were told by reception that at 9 p.m., the ground floor restaurant was closed but the roof restaurant was open. We went to the roof restaurant at 9:30 p.m. and were told that we could not have dinner because we did not have a reservation. The restaurant was half empty. We were told to go to the bar on the ground floor for food. When we got to the bar, the bartender told us that the kitchen stopped serving food. We were extremely disappointed by the lack of options and lack of willingness by the hotel staff to help.
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower room was also good.
I thought the room was very dark, not enough lights.
Location, general quality of service ,food and wine
My room had very little natural light, looking onto the side of a church only a few meters away.Rootop restaurant was good but so dark that it was not possible to see what was on our plates or read the wine list
Phenomenal architecture, great interior.
The room was very comfortable, the location excellent and the spa also excellent.
I have been accommodated at late night. in a room on the middle of nowhere ( hard to find the room) Room with no towels, no phone, no tv . when I ask for change - impossible. In the morning i have been offered as a compensation breakfast.. poor and boring really. I left written message for manager of this so called five star hotel No answer till now. I have paid £120 and I feel extremely disappointed.
Excellent high celing rooms, decor etc.
Very noicy aircondition. Horrible noicy outdor drilling, costruction work, that first night was up to 03.00 that didnt allow me to sleep. Third day, drilling started 07.00, and wake me up. Rooms are not sound proved as 5 stars rooms should be. If you are charged for the most expensive rooms then at least you want sillance for good night sleep. That, dont exist here. Because of that, I want recomend this hotel.
Central to old town and pleasant staff
Had to ask to have my room made up and towels changed, breakfast was expensive for level of choice
Very nice hotel on the Centre of Wroclaw, providing a high standard of accomodation.
The Breakfast is limited, which is the only downside I was able to find.
PAVEMENTS AROUND THE OLD SQUARE ARE FOR WALKERS WEARING ARMY BOOTS BUT NOT FOR LADIES WEARING HIGH HEELS!
Too much design but not practical at all
The whole experience was awesome.
The room design and set up.
staff excellent. friendly and efficient nice pool
Really great swimming pool & sauna in a very nice setting. Courteous and helpful staff.
Very inconvenient bathroom construction - rain shower on the ceiling (~3m) means that it's difficult not to get your hair wet. And since it's in a bathtub with no curtain the floor very quickly becomes flooded. This is the main reason for which Monopol is NOT my top choice in Wroclaw. Also, breakfast is very average for a 5-star hotel.
very attentive staff great location great rooms great pool+sauna
Polite friendly and helpful staff. Well appointed and spacious room, comfortable bed. Good toiletries to use.
Main shower in ceiling in room 500 doesn't work!! Would have liked a proper working shower. Would have also prefered a bigger offering of cooked food for breakfast. Some tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom would also be good.Still water instead of sparkling water in the bedroom please.
The swimming pool is nice also spa...
Customer service very poor! Room untidy... Lack of interest from management side! Lack of information and concern from reception! Too expensive and not worth to stay! Rooms are very dull and without cosines! I am so dissappointed with this hotel....never ever again! Don't really know where this 5 stars coming from! Maybe from sky....shame!
