would have liked tea making facilities in the room

The location and the rooms were fantastic. Upon checking in we saw our room had been upgraded and we had been given a suite instead of a standard room. The rooms were large and spacious and the decor is immaculate. Despite what I read in other reviews the bathroom was quite large as well. The hotel is located right off of the square. You walk out the doors of the cafe and you are right on the square. The hotel was also quite good about booking tours and taxis, made everything quite simple and there is free wireless internet, not just free wired internet.

As I read in multiple other reviews the staff was a bit stuck up. They definitely looked down their noses at us. The breakfast was the worst. The first morning we did not get greeted or offered coffee or tea at all the entire time we were there. The next morning was markedly better, but still not the type of service you would expect from a five star.

Excellent location and lovely building. Nicest person in the hotel was their cleaning lady.

1. Staff is untrained and seems to hold their jobs as per a coincident. For example, they do not greet you in the hotel, they look at you and smile and reply with a greeting only when you greet them first. If you don't say anything you will not hear goodmorning or goodnight or how are you. They are nice people but generally do not have an idea how to run a hotel. 2. No coffee / tea facility in the room. Good opportunity to charge you for morning coffee from the restaurant. 3. Gym is a big scam. It's basically 2 bikes. No treadmill. Plus, they give massages in the same room. So if someone is having a massage they will send you off and tell you to come back later. 4. No iron / ironing board in the room. After ringing reception twice and waiting for 30 min, they brought me an old iron and stained ironing board. The lady warned me that the iron burns clotes. It does. I ruined my blouse. 5. Mistake with the bill. Wanted to charged me double for an extra night. 6. Laundry - does not work over the weekend and they don't tell you this upfront. We gave our clothes for laundry on Friday. They didn't come back till Monday morning 5 minutes before we were leaving for our flight. 7. Suggestions ? - send the hotel stuff for training. It's a lovely hotel but they got most of details wrong.

The staff was very helpful including arranging private tours, taxis, guided tours and posting my letters. I had an executive suite which included a large bedroom, beautiful bathroom and large sitting room. The truffles on the bed were a delightful touch. The rooms were elegant and the location right on the square was exceptional. They also have evening Chopin concerts for a very reasonable cost that were fantastic. The buffet in the morning was in a delightful restaurant downstairs and with a chef preparing your eggs or pancakes to your liking and the vast amounts od meats, cheeses and sweets - well you did not leave hungry. I enjoyed my stay here very much and I would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Krakow.

Helpful and smiling staff who were extremely obliging.the rooms were superb,large and the beds were really comfortable.The location was fantastic,we had a relaxing and stressfree stay.thankyou.

Would not dream of staying anywhere else when I am in Krakow. Location could not be better. The public areas of the hotel were beautifully appointed with great taste and luxury fabrics. The room was up to standard with fine drawings and a marble ensuite. The staff were friendly but unobtrusive. Reception were efficient booking concert tickets and a taxi. Despite the many beautiful artefacts around and the historical siginificance and elegance of the building the ethos was homely and relaxing. This was indeed a five star experience.

Classic building, very convenient location next to the central square, service minded and attentive staff.

I booked this room so we could have a taste of glamour and luxury and a wonderful view of the famous square. The bedroom was beautifully decorated but the bed wasn't particularly comfortable. The bathroom was huge and elegant with a great bath for soaking and heated towel rack. The breakfast room was lovely with a view of the square. The food was wonderful and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed our dinner in the hotel restaurant (well prepared and presented Italian cuisine). The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The magnificent stairway is well-worth a visit.

I think that we were upgraded to a suite (because I had requested twin beds) but the living room part was too big, uncomfortably furnished, and gloomy - - not a place I'd want to spend any time. And, I was disappointed that the view was simply of other buildings across the street from all of the rooms.

Great Staff, great location and the hotel itself was very elegant. The morning breakfast was perfect with a great selection of food.

The rooms were very spacious and the location was superb, right on the main square in Krakow.

The staff on the front desk were very good, however the staff in the breakfast room were not very attentive and very slow to serve, once we had to go and ask as we were ignored by the young man on duty that morning, so service not too good. It would have been nice to have had a kettle in the room. We didn't get the complementary bottled water on two days. For a five star hotel I was a little dissapointed.

The hotel is situated in the best location right on the market square. The hotel staff are beyond lovely and very helpful. Krakow is one of the best cities out there. There is lots to do and see.

It was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. I've never felt so pampered. I've already recommended it to all my friends and family.
