Situated in the heart of Bydgoszcz, behind a beautiful Art Nouveau façade, this historic 4-star hotel has welcomed famous politicians and artists over the years.

Dating back to the late 19th century, the Pod Orłem Hotel offers everything you require for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Plan a conference at the hotel or make use of the business centre. The hotel’s architecture is inspired by Baroque and Renaissance influences.

In summer, you can sample delicious dishes at the terrace cafe or marvel at the views from your private balcony. The professional staff is glad to assist you with the organization of a ball, a banquet or simply a romantic dinner in the elegantly furnished restaurant.

The restaurant serves excellent cuisine, based on traditional Polish and international recipes.

In the morning the hotel offers a breakfast buffet. Enjoy grilled dishes in Café Tarasowa in summer. The hotel also organizes elegant balls, banquets, parties and other functions in 5 rooms, accommodating up to 150 people.

The restaurant is open daily from 7:00 to 23:00.

Room information

Some of the rooms facing Gdańska Street have their own private balcony. The hotel also offers a room especially designed for guests with disabilities and one entire floor for non-smokers.

Area information

Places of interest include the Parish Church of St Martin and St Nicholas as well as the market square with the public library. Visit Długa Street, a cobbled promenade with restored historic buildings. Trybunalska Street, with its unusual Orthodox church located inside a former timber frame granary, is also worth a visit. Bydgoszcz's most characteristic buildings, three historic granaries, are only metres from the market square, near the river.

Only slight reservation and absolutely no fault of this excellent hotel was the noise from a nightclub up the road from the hotel on one night ( this may have been a one off and I was in the front of the hotel). But this should not detract from wnat is a really well run and lovely hotel that I would be happy to recommend.	9.5
