The hotel location is great near the river. very close to the old town, bus and train station.
None. It was perfect hotel.
Pod Wawelem is in a fantastic riverside location right next to the historic Royal Castle. It is just a short, very pleasant walk to the centre of the Old Town and other tourist attractions. The hotel staff did everything to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. If the weather is good make a point of enjoying a drink at the rooftop bar with its superb views of the river and castle.
The room was nice, very clean, very comfortable. We had their cheapest room so we had no view but other rooms have excellent river view. Don't miss the rooftop restaurant/cafe/bar for it's view!
Clean hotel, with good breakfast buffet, and great location right next to the Wawel. I would come back.
location next to Royal Castle and Old Town, river view, 6th floor terrace for a drink or meal with a nice panorama view, friendly staff
river side rooms are a bit noisy due outside traffic at night
This hotel is super well located, it is clean and has the best rooftop terraces in Krakow.
The staff is sometime condescendent.
A very clean hotel ,welcoming staff, good food all round a nice place to stay.
Parking is not possible nearby, but for 91 PL per day you can park underground. The river view is a joke: windows are very small! Don't take a room at the 5th floor: there is a restaurant above.
Perfect location 200 meters from the main entrance to Wawel castle.
Expensive parking 5 minutes away from the hotel.
The location is excellent for visiting, as Rynek and the Jewish ghetto are within easy walking distance along with the castle. Also the rooftop terrace was again a very good view and the food was of a high standard.
The rooms are a bit dated but comfy, the car parking facilities are atrocious, the underground car park that the hotel recommended cost us 180zl or £37 for 2 nights, must be the most expensive car park in Europe. I paid £37 to park my car for 2 weeks at Prestwick airport so left feeling that we had been ripped off.
The location was excellent and views from the rooftop bar was worth staying in the hotel, food was also very good.
I like the location . Breakfast was wonderful ! Staff nice and helpful.
One of the receptionist was rude and with attitude. I am not sure he is the right person in such place. His behaviour made an impact on our stay . It was my second and probably last stay in this hotel. The other was the car park as the hotel website does not provide clear information about that. We had to use a car park nearby which cost £18 per 24hrs !
- good location - very nice bar on the top - friendly service - good breakfast
- water isn't enough pressure - very huge spider outside window (room 106)
A very comfortable no-frills hotel in a great location just outside of old town. Rooms are sparse but comfortable. We have stayed here numerous times.
Water pressure in shower was poor.
Good value for money, tasty breakfasts, comfortable rooms, close to castle, river, old town, nice roof top terrace, helpful staff organised return transfer to airport, couldn't really ask for more.
Nothing negative to say about this hotel, all good, would readily recommend.
Excellent location and very helpfull staff.
This is my second stay in this hotel. I stayed there four years ago. I think the quality of breakfasts declined since my previous stay. The beds were as uncomfortable as I remember them last time and the showers are just not very practical (too small)
Nice location, very near to castle and market square is also at walkable distance. breakfast is good. Staff is very cooperative.
Room is very small
roof top bar was excellent, reasonably priced.very polite reception staff, very welcoming.
we stayed here last year and the shower in the room was very poor, unfortunately the same problem was evident this year. Not to divert from the fact this is a lovely hotel in this price range and in a very nice location.
Only the location
The best thing was the location.
The room was small; the waitstaff on the terrace ignored us completely; there was no safe in the room.
The hotel was clean, friendly and situated perfectly. We loved the roof top terrace and the stunning views.
Nothing...we couldn't fault our stay here!
Friendliness of the staff.
This hotel is too expensive provided the offered facilities. And they didn't inform in advance about ongoing construction works in the hotel.
Perfect location and an excellent price.
The beds are old school and outdated.
The river/castle sight is very nice.
Clean and comfortable room, a little small but you don't spend a break in the hotel room. Breakfast was OK for a 3 star hotel but hot choice of sausages, fatty bacon and scrambled egg was the same every day. Restaurant food was excellent quality and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful
WiFi didn't work well on 5th floor. Paid extra for 2 river view rooms. One room was fine with a good view down the Vistula. Another (501) was so far down the side of the hotel overlooking a running track that you had to open the window and lean out to see the river properly.
