Pokoje Goscinne Basztowa  

I chose this hotel as a mid-range (budget) hotel, in order to be very close to the center of Krakow. Although the rooms are spartan, they are classical antique in style and surprisingly very nice. They are large with small balconies. I think its a great budget alternative to staying directly in the center or a major hotel. Just cross the street to one side and you are at the train station. Cross the other side and you enter the center of Krakow. Behind the building is the the main bus station that can take you to Auschwitz or the Wieliczka salt mines.

There is no elevator in the building and room was somewhat cold even in September. You must get the keys from Hotel Polonia next door, which requires you to show 1 passport for each guest (rather communistic still). There is no "easy" way from the train station to the hotel. You must cross under the main road, climb back up, and the cross a busy street. None of these are really problems...just for general information. It was difficult for us because we had a lot of luggage.

Forget about the reviews and professional moaners.I Cannot fault the staff,the location is perfect and hard to beat.You literally walk across the tramlines and you are in it.The building is beautiful inside and the rooms large and excellent facilites.En suite superb,coffee,tea making,beds extremely comforfable,with duvets.Altogether exremely good value for money.The noise from the road outside,is not a problem,if you dont like noise,dont go to a city.There is no lift,so if you need a lift,then you accept you have to take our luggage upstairs by hand.It was not a problem to me.The outside of the building obviously needs sandblasting,the cost of which would probably be astronomical.Dont let that put you off,its beautiful inside.Would definitly stay at pokoje goscinne BASZTOWA,if I go again.

Very clean and economical. Check in was fast. Hotel Polonia staff was very accomodating, carrying my suitcase up the 3 flights of stairs.

No bath soap! TV was sooooo small! Outside of building is depressing.

Very good location, nice rooms. Highly reccomendable.

Friendly staff and location. We arrived at 6am and were very tired. We expected to wait until at least 12 for our room but it was vacant and we could book in immediately.

Bathroom plumbing smelt a bit stale at times.

Läget var den främsta orsaken till valet av detta lägenhetshotell. Nära till tågstation och mycket goda buss/spårvagnsförbindelser utanför dörren. Vi fick ett rymligt rum av gammaldags karaktär mot en lugn innergård. Lite slitet men vi gillar denna typ av charm. Sängarna något hårda men ok. Badrummet i fint skick. Frukost åt vi på stan. Incheckningen var enkel och vi fick bra service. Men vi sköter oss mest själva. Det är ju därför vi väljer ett sådan här ställe. Kan tänka mig bo här igen.

большие номера с хорошей мебелью и оборудованием. при гостинице есть платная парковка. 5 минут пешком до центральной площади.

Bra läge nära Krakows Centralstation och på promenadavstånd från stadens huvudsakliga sevärdheter. Rummen håller bra standard, men ingenting extra.

Mycket buller från den stora gatan Ul. Basztowa.

Przestrzenny pokój. łAdnie, schludnie czysto.

Idealnie by było, gdyby w pokojach dwu osobowych były łóżka podwójne, a nie dwa pojedyncze łączone, gdyż takie mają "twarde" łączenie.

Высокие потолки

Вместо одной двух местной кровати- 2 одноместные вместе от отчего дырка по середине , паре не удобно.

Wygodne łóżko, duży pokój z własną łazienką. Po zakończeniu pobytu było możliwość zostawienia bagaży w recepcji Hotelu Polonia do czasu przyjazdu pociągu. Znakomita lokalizacja, poczucie pełnej prywatności.

Po 1 zaznaczyłam, że pragnę otrzymać pokój dla palących(w zamówieniu mogłam zaznaczyć który chcę zamówić) a otrzymałam taki, w któym nie można było palić. Po 2 z łazienki unosił się cały czas nieprzyjemny odór.
