Score from 912 reviews Good
good breakfast; visually pleasant signs of past glory
the elevator didn't work upon arrival so had to carry all our luggage up to the fifth floor; probably not typical of the hotel, but in our case we had noisy neighbors (who stopped the noise when asked by the hotel staff to quiet down)
location, very good breakfast.
You can hear what your neighbours are talking about, you can hear when they enter/leave the room. Toilet - very poor operation.
location,food and staf
smelly smoky corridors and front rooms are to noisey.
This hotel has a great history, visible just in a restaurant and in an elevator, otherwise it looks like a dormitory. However, our room was huge (and yes, we could smoke), bathroom also huge but very modest, Antic belly TV with a few snowing programmes. In the elevator we came accross to a maintainance person, an older gentleman in a blue overall carrying one of such belly TV sets. He was an absolute refreshment! Bell boy was in his best sixties... It was cool, it has a kind of pasttime soul we are looking for on our trips, definitely not one of those hybrid hotels usually copying some 'modern western' standards.
Given the price, everything was just ok (well, some comments on breakfast quality).
Poor customer service
Excellent food and friendly , helpful staff in the restauant .Plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet . Most of the reception staff were also helpful and efficient . Good location with many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance .
One receptionist on the early evening shift who could not have been less helpful if she tried , when I asked if she could get me a taxi she said " there is a phone in your room " On arrival in our smoking room we asked if we could have a clean ashtray as it was full , it was taken away never to be seen again . We asked at reception for an ashtray and after much searching by two receptionists we were told that there were no ashtrays .
- Friendly staff, very helpful! - Big rooms which are clean, with comfortable beds. - Very nice breakfast with a lot of choice, bread, yoghurt, pancakes, sausages, egg, fruits. - about 15 minutes from the old city centre.
- If you have a street facing room you might have problems with the noise from the streets. You can hear the trams really well. But for us not a problem. - The shower doesn't drain well.
Very friendly staff and very near to the city centre.
Really good breakfast, cool elevator
Some rooms look at the main street, and they are quite loud
room size and breakfast
Toilet was unclean, common areas need modernisation, especially lift
Good location, helpful staff
No coffee make or kettle
The cool, quiet rooms are at the very back of the building, facing north. Excellent breakfast.
Hotel in the Wroclaw city center. Great, very friendly staff. It will be renovated in very short time.
Equipment is very old and quite used. Sheet was definitely too short for the bed.
no aircondition , bit by insects very noisy so didnt sleep glad to get home
A room at the back should be quieter--the trams are rather noisy at the front, though the front rooms are quite elegant. Douglas. From Kingston, Ontario
It's so terrible. very dusty and dirty. I don't wana stay more.
We had to changed the room, and the windows of the apartment were facing a busy road . During night it was so hot, no air-condidtion so we opened the window and it was to loud to sleep.
The interior of the room looked nice. There was a nice picture on the wall and the room was big and clean. The hotel is near the bus station and not too far from the old town.
The bed was so awful that we fell asleep only at 4 a.m. Breakfast were really not special. Don't believe in all those beautiful photos. We didn't find any croissants, there were no berries, no watermellon, only uneatable oranges. Also, the corridors and the doors of this hotel are really spooky.
Location, breakfast, cosy but older
Location is great. Just a walk to the center or a few tram stops to other facilities. Many trams at the near tram stops which go everywhere you need. The stuff was very polite and helpful. Beds were comfy and big.
The hotel needs renovation, rooms are not very pretty. Of course, we took the Economy Room so we had to adjust our expectations. Yet, the rooms and corridor could have been more friendly (quite dark and old carpet). Quite poor breakfast, at 9:00 they were not adding anything new, we waited long till coffee finally arrived! We stayed at a 1-star hotel which was more modern and offered much better breakfast. Overall it was not so bad but could have been better. One lady in reception isn't enough, when she was busy on phone, people waited long. It would be much better if she had help.
Nice room and bathroom, towels good, quiet. Close to rail and bus but a distance to Rynek. Good breakfast.
Hallways in need of updating. Even tho I asked them not to, they charged my credit card the conversion rate.
-location -bathroom -tidiness
-no liquid soap -lack of power-points in the room
Great location if you arrive by train. Nice restaurant and breakfast (especially with the price taken into account).
Check-in wasn't flawless: the receptionist deducted the price from the wrong credit card (there was some misunderstanding with credit card guarantee and actual payment between us - no big deal).
