Hotel Polonia  

The Hotel Polonia is very well positioned in Krakow in that it is close to the Main Rail Station and an easy walk to the Old Square with its numerous restaurants. It is situated on the "Planty" a park which encircles the Old City. The hotel is in the communist style but we found the rooms comfortable and the typical Polish breakfast very adequate.

Fair quality for this value. Best location if you dont want to spend money on taxi for your way from railroad station to a hotel and back.

Not very friendly receptionist

The staff at this hotel are the first reason I would go back! The location is great and the breakfast is really nice. Highly recommended.

They don't have adapters available so if you are from the US or any other EU country even (I'm from Holland)...you need to take an adapter with you to charge your phone,laptop etc.

It was close and convinient to railway station and old town city centre

It is an old hotel and some places show this. The bathroom was small and not well ventilated and the taps were very hard to turn off as well as the hot water not always being available. I would recommend on a "conditional basis".

Great location! So close to the City Centre, transport to from airport, central train and bus station. Walking distance to restaurants, museums, shops, cinemas. Tourist information point and atm was less than 50 yards away. Great breakfast! Very friendly staff!!!

Kettle in the room, with tea/coffee would be a great bonus. A double bed instead of two single just pushed together would be nicer.

The location, very near to the train station, the old fashion style and the prices.

It is just in the main street,so it can be a bit noisy sometimes.

Very cheap and central Hotel. Service was brilliant. The best thing was interior, everything is done as 40 Years ago, except shower room. Beds were comfy.Car park payable

Location was good. Easy access from the airport. Close to downtown. That is about all what was "good".

Room was not cleaned well. Tv remote control did not work properly. Hairdryer did not work properly. When asked for repairs - repairs were promissed but nothin happened. Lousy furniture in room. Squeeky floors (very old worn out). Stench of cigarette smoke coming to non-smoking room. No mor this hotel for me.

The location of the hotel was excellent near to the train station and the old town. I found all the staff very friendly and helpful.Certainly I would stay at the hotel again if visit Krakow.

An excellent choice for city break . Good value for money and very convenient location for the center andtransport links. As other hotels of that ilk it has lost some of its original lustre but not atmosphere . Rooms large and comfortable and the view of the busy Planta was really interesting. We loved hearing the trams going by which gave it atmosphere but this would probably annoy people who like quiet .Would definately stay next time .

The location is excellent. It is an old style hotel with simple amenities. Friendly staff and close distance to transport and the town square.
