There are mosquitos that made you can not sleep in the first night, We have to buy the mosquito spray for another two nights. There are quite few dead mosquitos marks on the wall, |

Loved it here. Great staff, location and comfortable. There was no issue when I extended my stay and they even made me a lunch box when I had to leave before breakfast. Totally recommend, not luxury, but a home away from home. |

The Hotel location is ideal - close to Wawel Castle. The Hotel Royal has a grand old hotel feel and has a lot of character. The breakfast was great and the staff helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again as it was great value for money. The Hotel is close to a main road so tram noise can be a bit loud if you've a room facing it. However closing the windows did the trick! |

The price is very good for what it offers. The location is great (right near the Wawel castle), the rooms are really spacious (I stayed two different times, so I saw two of them), there is a fridge, a large bathroom. The breakfast was very good, and the restaurant on the ground floor (Pod Wawelem) is charming and very good value - accessible prices for good food. |

The staff were very pleasant and helpful the food in the restaurant was delicious. The hotel was very clean but it is in dire need of TLC and decorating. I would not hesitate to stay at the Royal again. |

The best thing about Hotel Royal is location. Next to the Old Town, across the castle Wawel and very close to Jewish quarter. Bathroom is so old, with strange pipe coming out from the shower cabin and with very smelly toilet. |

Excellent location, good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. I left my wallet in my room after check out and the hotel staffs kept it for me!!! If you don't go for the suite rooms, you only get twin beds not double beds. There is no air conidtion in my room and the internet signal is quite poor. |

Great location. Friendly staff. Huge room. Free wi-fi included. Happening restaurant/bar inside the hotel. Average breakfast with super-friendly restaurant staff. Terrible water pressure. Hotel looks very dated...I stayed in the back building which required a bit of a trek to get to from reception...felt like I was walking through the hotel from "the shining" at times. spooky. make sure you bring a print-out from booking.com with you as I had some problems arriving without out |

It was well located near Wawel Hill This hotel is very misleading. The front of the hotel is just about OK, however, the rooms at the back are terrible. I stayed in far cleaner rooms whilst backpacking through Africa. The sheets didn't fit the bed, the plug sockets hung off the wall with the wiring exposed, the walls were filthy and the hotel extremely noisy. If they try to give you room 523 leave the hotel immediately. You'll find the room easily - it's the one with the collection of unused mattresses and furniture piled outside the door. |

best place under Wawel, near both Jewish quarter and Main Square, large (ceiling 4m high) and very quiet room facing the park, children's playing faicility in the hotel restaurant (however open only in the evening), parking place in front of the hotel (however paid) wifi internet was quite slow, login password, although assigned for 7 days, needed to be recovered almost every other day, but just by phone to receptionists, who are very helpful and it was always quick, so there is almost nothing to complain |

Very good location, convenient for castle and town centre. Copious breakfast and excellent staff - very friendly. Very good value. Our room was in the back part of the hotel and this part was rather shabby - badly needing to be painted. However, we had booked the "economy" room, so it was an own goal! We'd pay a but more next time - but would definitely go back there. |

We were very pleased at the splendour of the room, as were expecting a more budget style. Tea making facilities would have made it perfect. The breakfasts were very nice, especially accompanied by the gentle classical music. It was delightful. It was difficult to get from our room to the dining room, due to the size of the hotel,we kept getting lost, therefore went outside the back door and walked along to front reception |

the good standard of the room, the price, especially the restaurant would have prefered a view looking out on the outside of the building, not a view of the inner courtyard. There was a noise from the inner courtyard. |

The biggest draw of the hotel is it's location between the old town and the Jewish quarter. It's restaurant is also very popular. Breakfast was plentiful. The hotel is a bit run down. It could have had more facilities in the room. |

Nice location near all the sights of Krakow within walking distance. Think I might have got a few bed bug bites - certainly look like them (I'm a medical doctor) but could have got from reading my book at Planty |

Staff extremely helpful and allocated rooms very comfortable. Easy access to all areas of interest. Lots going on around the hotel while we were there. The distance from reception to the rooms caused slight problem for members of our group who are less mobile. The noise of the trams. |

The location is excellent, right by the castle and close to the old town. Great looking building plenty if charecter but looking a little tired. The beerhall style restaurant provides good value, polish cooking in a great atmosphere (busy all day) and the servings are huge. Its worth eating there just for the complimentary cherry vodka!! The hotel is a fabulous art deco building but in need of some tlc. The rooms are a bit on the small side and standard of decor (apart from the restaurant) is pretty poor and a little shabby. The bathrooms have seen better days. A little thoughtful refurbishment and modernisation could make this a real gem. |

The hotel is in an excellent location, right next to the Wawel and a 10 minute walk from the market square. Breakfast is included and offers good choices, starting at 6.30 AM. It's very easy to reach the hotel on foot or via the tram from the train station. My "economy" room was a little worn but did the job. |
