Score from 827 reviews Wonderful
I liked where the hotel was situated, the value for money of the hotel and the staff couldn't do enough to help you
I feel the breakfast could be improved a little, maybe more variety and the hotel advertised English TV channels but we couldn't get them on the TV, and this was one of the reasons I booked this hotel.
Hotel location (next to the main market)
Although an older style hotel the rooms were very adequate, the bathroom was fairly small but the shower was great. The reception staff were so helpful and keen to make phone calls to restaurants. They also allowed us to give their email so we could register for Auschwitz.
We all were able to stay on the same floor as there was ten of us
No bad experience sorry
The salt mines and nite life
The location was perfect!
I felt sorry for my 2 cousins trapped inside the hotel elevator for almost an hour early morning of 24 Jan 2015. I did not like the attitude of the receptionist (guy with spectacles) assigned that time. While talking to him these were his reasonings about the incident - I should not worry that my cousins were trapped inside because the elevator has air condition system - He cannot do anything because the emergency key to open the elevator was brought by a staff and the staff is not in the hotel now and is not responding to his phone calls - I have to ask this receptionist guy to at least inform my cousins he already called for service and that they are on their way - He asked the bell boy to deal with the incident. The situation made me angry that I have to find help outside of the hotel - from a policeman. It was only then the elevator repair man has arrived and opened the elevator doors. Not even water to drink was offered by the receptionist. The last info we got from the other hotel receptionist - something always happen to this elevator on a Friday evening and/or on weekends!
excellent location for old town square breakfast was good usual cold buffet also omelettes with varies us fillings any kind of egg sausage
Perfect for a long weekend.
Hotel was close to main square.
Lack of English channels on tv (only for watching before bed)
The location was superb for us it was only seconds away from the square. It can be noisy in the early hours but all you have to do is keep you window shut. The breakfast was great all you could want you could also have omelettes or scrambled eggs on top the ordinary continental breakfast. We slept well and was always warm in our room.
The only downside was no tea or coffee facilities but not the end of the world as there is a coffee shop opposite the entrance and it's really cheap.
The location of the hotel was great, right on the market square, everything we needed was close by!
Great hotel in great location I would recommend the spynx restaurant below hotel great food
Not easy to find & no bar or restaurant attached must go round corner but we used spynx restaurant
location of hotel
breakfast was repetative could have been better, Had to report the hairdryer twice before it was changed
The breakfast The location
The street noise from drunk people during the nights
Help at reception, especially Gohsia and Karolina
the breakfast arrangements
Perfect location, inexpensive, lovely staff, very quiet room. Couldnt fault it!
60 steps to room no lift for 2 couples aged 68 & 70 on first visit. Second visit better with lift.
Lovely hotel, perfect location on the main square. Big breakfast in the restaurant next door. We all loved our stay here.
Only negative thing was that our rooms were on the heighest floor and there was no lift in our building. I was six months pregnant at the time and it definitely was a challenge to climb all the way up. Hotel was fully booked though, so we couldn't change our room. I must say though, that the the positive side of staying on the higher floor was that there was no noise of people coming back to their rooms late at night and we got a really good sleep.
Had a problem with 60 stairs aarrg! At age 68 it was difficult to manage, and slippy walkway also the stair lighting did not come on so it was very dangerous. I had booked early enough so i expected the staff to program a lift access. But we coped but uncumfortably!
No lift room for age 68 guests?
Location was excellent, stuff nice and helpful.Room nice and clean.
I didn't like the breakfast
Modern rooms and excellent location.
No lift - could be a bit noisy at night
Staff helpful and approachable. 24 hr service. Good location. Price, Good breakfast included.
It could be noisy at times outside but that is what you get when you book in such a central location.
everything!!! staff were lovely, helpful and friendly!! as i had my own room i didnt get charged a huge single supplement !!!
i was on the second floor facing main street and found it hard to sleep with the street noise, but im a light sleeper anyway so im used to not getting good sleep when im away.
The location was the primary value of the hotel - just in the heart of medieval Krakow, which - I need not say this - is one of the most beautiful historical cities of Europe. And the hotel itself with very professional and friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean room and other things that would be difficult to mention here all of them.
Excellent central location next to the main square, helpful staff, breakfast was good with option of omelette made to order with your choice of fillings. Good restaurants nearby.
Rooms to the front were very noisy at night. Although none smoking, as a smoker even I could smell stale smoke in the corridors.
