This charming hotel is in a 15th century building, deep in the heart of Kazimierz, Krakow’s picturesque, historic Jewish area.

Just a few minutes walk away from the city’s main market; the hotel is also within walking distance of most of the city’s attractions, historic buildings and monuments. The fascinating Wawel Royal Castle is less than a kilometre away, Krakow’s Old Synagogue is just a few steps away and the theatre district is just a short stroll from the hotel.

All of the hotel’s modern comforts and technology have been sensitively integrated into the original historic building. Beautiful original features are the focus in many parts of the hotel. Many of the rooms feature impressive original decorated wooden ceilings and beams from the 17th and 18th century. Many rooms also offer wonderful views of some of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in this historic city.

Area information

The hotel is situated in Kazimierz, the former Jewish district and the historical centre of Krakow's Jewish religious and social life. There are many cafes, pubs and restaurants in the area surrounding the hotel and many of Krakow’s attractions and beautiful buildings are nearby.

Wawel Royal Castle and Cathedral (1 km) - This is a symbolic place of great significance for Polish people. Polish Royalty and many distinguished Poles are interred in the Cathedral and royal coronations took place there.

Main Market Square (1.4 km) - This is the Old Town’s main square. It dates back to the 13th century and, at 200 metres x 200 metres, it is the largest medieval town square in Europe. The main landmarks of the square are the St. Mary's Basilica (Kościół Mariacki) and the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice).

Staff very helpful and food very good. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and tasteflly furnished

Some of the rooms are affected by noise from a nightclub next door but our complaint was dealt with

employees at reception are useless + room much too small + heating broken 3 days and no blanket + breakfast area dirty (no bread & orange juice due to group eating in early morning)

Excellent location. Being able to dine outside overlooking the square was an added bonus in the evening.

No tea making facilities in room.

location was great, archtecture interesting, good coffee at breakfast, very helpful staff. We were given a USA plug adaptor when we asked. Free parking. Rooftop observation deck.

wireless did not work but the Internet in room was good. Exercise facility running machine was out of order, did not replace fresh water in room every day.

the salads are very fine

the music club beside the hotel plays very loud music, so that it was impossible to sleep. Reception don't mail post cards. No internet. It is not possible to tip the waiters on your room-bill.
