Score from 780 reviews Wonderful
The location could not be better for the Main Square. The building is old and authentic. One staff member in particular was top notch professional customer service, the other, on the second day was not. When I asked her questions, like the best way to travel to Zakopane from Krakow, she said you'll have to go to the bus station to check. The shower was nice. The kitchen was modern and well stocked. The breakfast/reception were cozy.
Our room was freezing, but they brought us an electric heater the next day. The hot water was stuck on scolding hot and we could not take a shower or brush our teeth and the toilet wouldn't flush, but they fixed it the day we told them while we were out sight seeing and gave us a free breakfast for our troubles. One of the receptionist was very unhelpful and didn't want to be bothered. The other was absolutely amazing.
Right next the main square, very easy to find even by coming from bus station. Location is perfect and the staff is very kindly for information and any reservation you need.
Proximity to the centre
Nothing ...... It was fantastic.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location very convenient in a wonderful city to walk around.
Winding stairs in old building are narrow and steep, and could be difficult to navigate for some.
Obviously the location was fabulous. Great staff. Short Walk from the train station to the hotel. Hotel is right beside a wonderful square. Breakfast simple but delicious. Curtious staff. Rooms very quiet. Slept well.
Great location, great old building and structure
Shower was broken, very loud if you like to sleep with an open window - but this is almost main square in Cracow :).
Tango House is housed in a charming old building. The hall paintings are especially interesting. The staff was very kind.
Location excellent. Very welcoming staff and helpful attitude from the time of booking the accommodation to speedy answers to emails before arrival as well as information during our stay.
Nothing that Tango House could do much about but the bells of nearby basilika and the tradition of the trumpeter on the hour meant quality of sleep was affected! The breakfast area is quite cramped when occupants of all rooms turn up to eat at the same time.
Fabulous location, close to the main square. Unusual hotel that's a bit of history. Very helpful staff. Very clean and welcome free wi-fi. We had the breakfast on one morning and it was fine. We took up the hotel's offer to arrange taxis to and from airport which was a good move given that the airport is a building site presently with no connecting train service.
There is no lift so the spiral stairs may be a problem for some guests.
Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Our room was quite small but very comfortable and bathroom was spacious and recently renovated. Cold breakfast selection was very acceptable with plenty of coffee, tea and juice.
The entrance looks a bit shabby and rundown. TV didn't work first evening and no hot water at all our final evening and morning so we couldn't shower. There was construction of some sort going on during our stay so some noise and dust from that. Then sleeping was difficult because of the round-the-clock trumpet blower following the strikes from the bell tower.
Tango House is the perfect home base for exploring Krakow - 1 1/2 blocks from the large market square, on a relatively quiet street and easy access to the tram. My wife and I were in the older building on the second floor (2 above ground level) with windows facing the interior courtyard (room 4) and it was spacious and very quiet. Be aware that this floor is over 50 steps above street level with no elevator. Staff was super helpful. Upon arrival Janet generated a personalized list of locations for us to visit and marked each on the map. Breakfast was good but simple - yogurts, bread, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese and meat, coffee, tea, cookies... Would definitely stay here again if we return.
If you're driving as we were, parking can be an issue. Cannot park on the street in front of Tango House, only can park for 15 minutes to load / unload. We managed to find a space in a public lot about 2 1/2 blocks from TH - free on weekends and must pay from 8 AM to 6 PM (6 PM is my guess - left at 10 AM on Monday) during weekdays.
Location was perfect, two steps around the corner and you were in the main square. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful including when my flight was changed and it turned out I'd be arriving after 10pm when reception closes. Breakfast was good. The building is very old, which is quite interesting, but inside the room is totally modernized.
friendly staff ideal location comfy bed very clean
no negative comments
location, staff went the extra mile to help and to extend hospitality. I was surprised that it was a walk up but it was good for me.
not a thing.
We liked the huge room for 3 women, lots of space, very comfortable. Bathroom a good size. Staff was excellent, and helpful.
We had a bit of noise at night from the street below.
The location is brilliant and the the building has historic charm historic. The staff are very friendly and helpful..
Wi fi not very reliable. Loud plumbing in bathroom. Stairs made luggage access awkward.
The location to the square and its uniqueness. Staff were really lovely.
Having to transport 2 heavy cases up 2 flights of spiral stairs.
The room was clean with plenty of space to move around. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The B&B is very well situated about a 3 minute walk from the main square.
Staff and location was excellent. We enjoyed the convenience to the squares, the sites we wanted to see and the restaurants. We were given good advise from the staff on sites to see, how to get to them and where to eat and drink..
The walk up the stairs to the top floor with our luggage was a challenge but worth the effort. Our room faced the street and was noisy but that made it more interesting. Being able to see and hear the sounds of the street was fun.
Staff greeting was very friendly Location excellent
The trumpeter at the nearby cathedral; you'll know what I mean when you hear it!!!
Location, clean, good value for a price
Bed was too small, needs window blinds
We spend 4 nights at the B&B. Room was very big and neat. Location was perfect, because you're in the middle of the centre of Krakau. The staff did everything to make it comfortable, booked trips, made reservations at restaurants, gave lot's of information. Speak very good english. A taxi driver picked us up at the airport and let us in, because it was midnight. Was all very good, it case of emergency we could call a tel.number, but we didn't need it. Excellent! Breakfast: there was choice enough, from bread to cornflakes, coffee/thee/milk, orange juice. Fruit, yogurt, biscuits.
The only thing that could be better was the size of the breakfast room. When there al a lot of guests, is't al little bit small. And on Sunday there weren't enough sandwiches.
The locations was great. Marvellous building. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was yummy.
We liked everything. There could have been more hangers in the closet..
It's very nice to the main square. Nice stuff and clean room.
Most everything, particularly the location, the staff, the price.
Nothing really. Maybe the lack of blinds or thick curtains: sunlight got into the room every morning from about 5 am...
