The service was just excellent. I do not think it was possible for me to ask for anything more. The staff was extremely friendly. They not only helped with the stay in the hotel but also helped us in arranging our trips in and around the city. They drew maps, wrote stations and bus stops and made reservations all on their own. This was in my opinion their best quality and I would love to be treated like that again. The rooms were very nice as well. Everything, I needed was there and the welcoming chocolates at bed side made me felt warm and special. I might be the odd one out but I find it extremely difficult to sleep with too much light in the room. Sadly, the curtains were too thin and I would get up in the wee hours even when I did not want to. I did not ask for thicker curtains, maybe they could have solved my problem.

Friendly and polite reception. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Heating was great because outside it was -15 C. Great Wi-Fi connection. Good and tasty breakfast. Good location: only 10 min walk to railway station (PKP) and shopping mall Gallery Krakowska. Only 5-7 min. walk to main square in Old City. The next stay in Krakow will be only at Wielopole Hotel.

My partner & I stayed at the Hotel Wielopole for 3 nights at the start of November. We initially drawn to this accommodation due to the very reasonable price, so weren't expecting too much. Well, we were more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The rooms were very modern & kept to a high standard. They were quite snug, but this wasn't a problem as you don't tend to spend lots of time in there. The staff were extremely helpful & spoke nearly perfect English & they were always on hand to offer their local knowledge. The location was ideal, about a 5-10 minute walk away friom the main square & all the ammenities, All in all we had a very enjoyable stay. Thank you Hotel Wielopole! I can't criticise anything about the hotel personally, however breakfast here & apparantly in many other hotel's in Krakow is not necessarily what the bristish palate is use to. The food was absolutely adequate, there was ample selections of salads, bread & cheeses's, & we could always find something to eat, but it probably wasn't our favourite meal of the day. That said we were there to experience Poland, so why not embrace the food that they may typically eat for breakfast eh!

Great location. Nearby car parking. Noisy at night due to nearby nightlife. Air conditioning worked only so-so, thus necessitating open windows and bother from noisy patrons late at night and early in the morning. No minibar.

Great location between the Old Town and Kazimierz with tram services nearby. Walk to Wawel Hill and the train station was around 10 minutes. Breakfast buffet ran from 7 til 11am giving plenty of time to get breakfast and ensuring that the breakfast room was not too overcrowded. Airport transfer was cheaper than taxi and on time. Single rooms provide a very small bed and the material clearly required either turning or replacing. My room occasionally smelt of smoke after having been cleaned suggesting the cleaners either smoked in my room or were such heavy smokers than the smell got into the sheets.

Comfortable, spacious rooms with tea and coffee making facilities. Nice bathroom with power shower. Plentiful breakfast with a variety of fruits cheeses ham and eggs. Very polite and helpful staff who couldn't do enough for you, booking taxis giving directions etc. Beds very comfortable and spacious. A bit noisy as its located above a night club which goes on through the night. Could have replenished the toiletries. Although the breakfast was plentiful the eggs were left for a long time and rather grey in appearance. We did return to find the contents of the waste bin left in the room. Could have had water, tea and coffee replenished as well.

Very friendly staff. Hotel modern and very clean. We had a room with a small living area which was great however I think if you had booked a standard roo It may have been quite cramped. Excellent location 10 min walk to bus and train station and 5 mins from main square however trams are only 1 minute away on foot. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was incredibly good value for money and very centrally located. You could walk to the Old town, the Castle, the Jewish Quarter and the main train station (and thus the shuttle train to the airport) all within a few minutes. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and they had surprised us with a complimentary bottle of local cherry vodka in our room as it was my partners 30th Birthday. The room and bathroom were more than adequate (and very good for the price). This hotel was alot better than a more expensive "top end" hotel we had stayed in during a different visit to Krakow.

“I liked everything about the Hotel Maltanski. The receptionist was very cheery and helpful. The room we stayed in was big with very comfortable beds and very clean. The hotel was in good position. Close enough to the attractions of the Old Town Square but just far enough away for peace and quiet.” Ellen, Saltaire |
