Villa Marma is superlative in every way and was exactly what I was looking for. I chose it because I wanted to be in a quiet location, near Kuźnice and other trail heads, and a safe distance away from the crowds without cutting myself off from conveniences; the other reviews also compelled me. It turned out to be even better than I anticipated; I have lived in and traveled in Poland/to Zakopane on and off for several years and this by far is my favorite accommodation. The owners' good graces, culinary talents and eye for making a beautiful environment; the villa's cleanliness and comfort; the quality of the breakfast, the location, the garden, the quiet surroundings, all receive my highest recommendation. I stayed in the top floor apartment, which has a well-equipped kitchen and a lot of light, with views of the mountains to the south and southwest from a small balcony -- a perfect place to sit with a glass of wine or tea and read, watch birds, or see the skies change over the mountains. I had the opportunity to look at some of the other rooms as well and they were all beautiful, well-appointed, light, clean, and inviting. The bed and couch in my unit were extremely comfortable, and everything was absolutely pristine. I found the kitchen to be better appointed than the luxury apartments I've rented in Kraków; everything one needs is there and of excellent quality. The space was cleaned often and fresh towels appeared regularly; my unit had a washing machine as well. The breakfast was truly fantastic: an array of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, smoked meats and salmon, whole grain breads, are all extremely fresh; and the naleźniki (pancakes), a house specialty, are an absolute must. All told, no better way to fortify oneself before a long day hiking in the mountains, and no better place to come back to after taking in all that Zakopane has to offer. The owners take excellent care of their guests and made my stay unforgettable.
