- location, location, location - Ashford drive is very close. The beach is two blocks away. - The hotel is very secure. - Bar on site. - Pool on site. -Rooms are very spacious.
- Food was not available at this location - Parking was limited.
The place is beautiful, clean, and in a wonderful location. The staff was very friendly.
Parking is a problem, even if you reserve parking at the hotel. They only have six spots and the spots are not very accessible.
The distance from the beach and great places to eat!
The fact that I had to leave PR :(
This hotel has some of the feel of a family Bed & Breakfast establishment. It is close to the beach but a long walk to the San Juan historic district.
Everyone there makes you feel special because they go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. There is a nice little pool to enjoy around the corner from the bar and ice machine. It's right near the beach and a lot of good local restaurants. Make sure you pet the hotel cat "POPO".
I can't think of anything bad to say. The staff is friendly and will treat you like part of their family if you need assistance with anything. I love Wind Chimes so much that I have stayed there 3 times this past year. That says it all!
We were staying at the Acacia boutique, same owner with the Wind Chime, located nearby. The staffs were very nice and helpful (especially Mr. Claudio, very pleasant). The hotel is very elegant, it has a outdoor jacuzzi pool on the 2nd floor, very nice.
the towells are old, makes it feel not clean even though they are clean.
Nice and friendly staff, upgraded me to a bigger room out of courtesy, great pancakes for breakfast
A bit of noise sometimes made it difficult to sleep
It is a quaint hotel that was created (I think) from a couple of houses. I think the neighborhood is a little iffey, but that could just be me. The lobby staff was ok, but there were a couple of them that went so far out of their way to help us that they really made the time we spent in San Juan wonderful
The stairs. If you go be sure that you have a small bag. We had a couple of big ones as we had just come from a cruise, and it was brutal dragging them up. Also, the parking. If you have a car, BE SURE TO RESERVE A SPACE! If not, you will have to park on the street and it's nearly impossible. Again, the hotel staff was of great help.
I flew into San Juan a couple of days before my best friend arrived and was looking forward to some alone time (I have 2 small kids at home. You get my drift.) This was my third trip to San Juan and previously had stayed at Hosteria Del Mar, which is right on the beach. I was a little worried about not being on the beach again but it is only a block away, so very convenient. Plus Wind Chimes has pool towels which I used for the beach. Which brings me to their cute little lagoon type pool. Okay, it is small but very serene and relaxing with a seperate area for sunbathing. I stayed in room 104 right by the pool. You take some steps down to get into the room and are eye level with the pool. A large comfy room with two queen beds, a mini fridge, a dining table with four chairs and an excellent air conditioner. I stocked the fridge with Medallias and was in vacay heaven. Maybe it is just me but I love lots of ice so a bonus was being right near that ha! I went to the bar for a couple of madras before meeting some friends. It is a nice little place to relax. In the lobby in the mornings they have coffee!! I cannot start my day without it so what a nice treat. I had a great time and would definitely consider staying there again in room 104. p.s. I used to live in Brooklyn and Chicago, so there is some plight surrounding the hotel but once you are behind those walls, you feel safe and sound!
location and closeness to the beach and town center.
the air conditioner was good, the bed comfortable and there was enough storage for clothes.
I did not like the shower, just a tent separated it from the rest of the bathroom. The room was without windows.
i loved it, it was peaceful close to everything, ect. im definetely going back
the day before i checked out the phone wasnt working and the technician didnt arrive till after i cheked out the next day
Everyone at the front desk was very friendly. They made excellent selections on where to eat.
Staff there are super friendly. Helps us a lot. I like it.
A small oasis in the middle of the city. A true gem. Tiny and quaint and the bartender made an awesome pina colada. Will recommend to all friends and family and i will return to this oasis.
The staff services. La disponibilidad para ofrecernos las atracciones del hotel before check inn and after check out. Like pool, rest rooms, beach towel and others.
They dont hace parking lot.
The bed was very comfortable, the location perfect, the staff friendly, and the building beautiful!
Showers were cold.
Everything was good I will stay again here.
The staff was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable, the hotel was cozy and welcoming.
No restaurant - located in another hotel. Food was mediocre.
This is a really cute boutique hotel with rooms tucked away here and there and lots of little verandas and sitting areas. Great pool. One block from awesome beach. Staff was excellent. Plan to go back
Clean, Private, Location, Quite ,and Safe.
Had to call from desk to secure an iron.
We stayed a couple days before our cruise and stayed 1 day after. When we had gotten back from our cruise we got a much nicer room compared to the first one. Room 107 was nice and roomie and they went ahead and gave it to us earlier than check in time. Over all it suited our needs. Friendly staff.
Room 101 First night we had no hot water. We let them know, they (Two ladies) said thank you. The end. The next morning it was at best luke warm. They said they had an electric issue and it was fixed and warming up the morning we were leaving. I told the staff I'd just wait till I was aboard the ship to take a shower. Both rooms we stayed in was not the cleanest. The bed linens were clean though. The bed in 107 had a spring sticking out, which we reported. The phone had never been cleaned and had an inch of dust on it. We had room 101 the first night. It was tiny and right on the busy side of the street which was loud most of the time, and you heard everyone coming and going in the motel, but we didn't fuss, we just wanted a room after a long flight. When we were leaving for our cruise, I checked under the bed for my belongings and found someone else's "Bug bracelet" It's probably not the house keepers fault. There wasn't much room for anyone to use a broom under anything. If you stay here, tell them you want a room in the back, but not room 101 if you want privacy and something bigger than a jail cell
Gentleman bar keeping was very helpful & pleasant
Too many stairs. Inconvenient for luggage. Terrible when it rains. Bad keys. No parking
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice room, good location within walking distance of lots of services.
WiFi connection did not work in the room. Had to go out in the common area which was very inconvenient. Air conditioner barely kept up with temperature and humidity needs.
How close it was to the Beach!! Only 2 minutes if that!
Not enough Private parking
