Close to wedding reception we attended. Walking distance to all places visited. Excellent weather
Staff needs to be more attentative. Made requests for amenities and didn't receive until hours later.
Helpful staff. Nice beach one short block away. Within walking distance of restaurants.
No do-it-yourself laundry facility.
I didn't like how the water from the shower ran all over bathroom floor
Pro: Nice small pool. Close to a nice beach. Staff was able to relocate my room from a VERY bad location with a VERY bad room.
Con: What the staff does NOT know they make up with lies. Even with 1 night stay they would not refund the other nights stays that were originally reserved. This hotel is NOT in Condado it is in Ocean Park. Expect to do alot of walking to any entertainment areas on Ashford Ave.
There is no private parking and it is a bit difficult to find one close to the hotel, specially when you r carrying some luggage...
Close to the airport , stores and restaurants.
There was no TV remote control.
Looks cute Staff at front desk were very nice.
Smells of mildew in lobby, room overloaded with air freshener. Bathroom sink/toilet leaking onto floor, floors very dirty. We couldn't shower it was so dirty. All night garden changing multicoloured lights lit up our room, no way to turn off. Apparently manager won't remove them. A window did not close properly, so we had mosquitoes. Woken up at 7am to maintenance sweeping right outside our door. Terrible night sleep. No response from manager.
As soon as you go through the main door it,s like you are in a different world. Beautiful romantic buildings and scenery
We enjoyed our stay at Chime hotel. A friendly welcome, quick check-in, Spacious room, comfortable beds, and, in particular, the excellent location. We had easy access to everything , entertainment, night life, beaches a block away, museum, bars and restaurants. We had an memorable dinner at Niche restaurant, located at Acasia, across the street from Chime Chimes. The restaurant was cute, romantic with Mediterranean overtone, the capacity of no more than 15 guests at the time, with delicious food , friendly chef and good service, all this at a reasonable price. At Chimes, one hardly loses a thing.
Limited parking facilities.
The dizque "front desk manager" woman after paying 200 usd for a couple of nights, didn't allow me to keep there my luggage for a night to make an excursion out of San Juan. You can stay anywhere else in the island for half the price. She said they had no room for luggage in the whole building. The only hotel in 70 countries visited who said no to that. What a shame. Elijan cualquier otro hotel en Puerto Rico por la mitad de precio, no merece la pena gastar ni un solo dolar en un sitio en el que te niegan un espacio para una maleta, qué vergüenza señores!!!
The hotel has many charming little touches. Our room had a comfortable, king-sized bed and the hotel staff were helpful (especially Claudio). You can easily walk to restaurants with good, local food and the beach is a block away.
The unique layout of the garden area, it felt like being in a private home.
Our room was below garden level, the high window on one wall was level with the deck of the swimming pool. The other window was small and high. Will request another room next visit.
they was very friendly, clean place very close to everything
no microwave in the room and some room dosent have fridge
horeca could be better
Quiet location in a residential neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants, groceries and museums. Easy walk just down the street to a beautiful beach. Resident cat "Popo" makes us feel right at home. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. This is our third stay at Wind Chimes - feels like home away form home.
Just a couple of minor maintenance issues that we reported. Bathroom needs a place to set your "stuff" instead of on the floor.
It was close to everything beach was down the street. Very good restaurants in a close area. Close To THE Express Way To Go To San Juan 6 Minutes Away Grim The airport
Large, comfortable, clean room with a great king-size bed. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location--walking distance to the beach and some restaurants and bars.
Parking is an issue. There is virtually no street parking available and the hotel parking lot is very small--reserve a spot in advance, but they charge $15 per night.
Love the historical aspect of the place and the quietness.
You need to move the furniture around every once in a while and sweep and dust. Was very dirty floors. Repair the broken turtle on your stairways and buy new pots for your plants, the pots had cracks everywhere, especially the ones in front of the hotel outside. You need to make sure someone is there in the front at all times and not make clients guess where the other hotel is and figure out where they need to sign in and registered. Very inconvenient.
Room was a bit dirty, hair in the shower
Close to the beach, clean and cozy.
Restaurantas around the area very expensive, you better eat in main street in Condado.
The Hotel...of course.. and everything about it...
I took advantage of a daily offer thinking that I reserved a room with double beds. Was informed that the bed situation was never a firm offer and had to pay extra for a 2 day stay...the offer mix-up was disappointing, to say the least...
I liked the location it was very central. The staff was a little rusty but when asked questions they were very resourceful. I loved the hot tub at their sister hotel and the private entrance at the wind chimes was a plus. If def stay there again and will stay there again when I go back because I did fall in love in San Juan. The beach was so close to the hotel i could feel ocean breeze when I walked out my hotel room. The villa type tropical theme hotel was peaceful and serene I loved it vet much.
The pool could be a lot bigger and deeper. I feel like the light breakfast and dinner should be included in the hotel price for the stay.
- location, location, location - Ashford drive is very close. The beach is two blocks away. - The hotel is very secure. - Bar on site. - Pool on site. -Rooms are very spacious.
- Food was not available at this location - Parking was limited.
The place is beautiful, clean, and in a wonderful location. The staff was very friendly.
Parking is a problem, even if you reserve parking at the hotel. They only have six spots and the spots are not very accessible.
