Excellent staff and beautiful rooms

We had a balcony room off of the street and it was very loud. It made it difficult to sleep

Ubicado en el centro de Ponce. Cerca de todo. Caminando al Teatro La Perla, Casa de Bombas, museos y vida nocturna. El hotel es boutique, pequeño y acogedor. El estilo es neoclasico y la decoración muy bonita.

No parking on site. Even though parking lot wasn't far away and was only $5 full night.

Not the greatest hotel but it has it's old world charm, sort of like a boutique hotel, very close to downtown (2 min walk). Free parking on the street from 4.30 PM to 8 am. Nice drive up to the caves and the observatory.

The room at the front is incredible noisy at night;m however, we were fairly warned prior to checking in and given a choice of a room in the back that bwould have been quieter. Although our room was very noisy we really enjoyed the balcony over the street.

Very good location, lots to do within walking distance.

I loved the room decore. I also loved the location, the shower, the bed....beautiful hotel.

Wish you sold glass/bottle of wine, offered more breakfast choices, and dramatically discounted the room, as the music was so loud, I didnt get to sleep until 4AM....was really, really far too loud to sleep, or think.

Beautifully preserved early 20th century hotel. Right in the center of Ponce's turist area and a few minutes away from beaches, mountains, shopping. Friendly staff. Very clean with well appointed rooms and bathrooms

Their breakfast included did not qualify as even a "continental", just coffee and cold pre-packaged mini rolls. No juice nor any way to warm the rolls.

The location of this hotel was a dream. My sole reason for visiting Ponce was the Museum of Art which was a short stroll away. The rooms were clean and generally well appointed. I read criticism of the parking somewhere on this site, but it really is only a short way away in a free public car park with a police office in it. How can you really complain about that? I would stay here again. I had one problem which the apparently surprised member of staff dealt with without question.....

..... I had a cockroach in my room. I saw only one but that was enough and without question was moved from a 'Queen room to a 'King' room. And that means that I must echo somebody else's previous criticism. Puerto Ricans party loud and late. And they start work early too. I reckon there were people doing 'morning things' as early as 3 A.M. I have to say, if I lived in that heat, I would be tempted to as well.

breakfast is a joke, some old toast and a peanut butter jar. For its price I expected more in general

Very clean and classic period hotel right around the corner from the old city square. If you want a taste of a Puerto Rican old style class hotel that is clean and friendly in Ponce this is a very nice place. Say hello to Umberto if you stay, he is proud of his hotel and town.

The noise on the adjacent street and after dark you need to be careful if you leave the central square areaby more than a block or two This is common in any city such as this if you stay central. Also if you want something to eat you need to do it early or the choices are very limited.

The location was ideal, the staff friendly. But above all I enjoyed the spacious, elegant surroundings.

step back in time loved wooden door, louvered windows, deck. Not for everyone. Noisy, no elevator. But we loved Ponce and hotel. Breakfast was almost non existent tho

Staff Alex was super helpful with suggestions and guides, making our stay very enjoyable. The location is excellent right by the town square.

The continental breakfast needs improvement, only muffins, bread and yoga; and the coffee is so-so.

The atmosphere and the authentic architecture are a,amazing. I loved the high rooms, the balconies, and the whole "colonial feel" - also the way the room was furnished and decorated (like laced bed linens!). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Also, the free parking is great, the free wifi, and there was Nutella for breakfast!

At night the noise from the street was a pretty loud - but that's the price to pay if you want to be in the center, I guess.. Also: the toilet/bathroom is part of the room - I.E. it is open at the top. For a married couple that was ok, but if I was travelling with a friend, it might have been a little embarrassing. This should maybe be noted in the description?

furnishings old and garage-sale looking. not well maintained. quilt and bedsheets had seen many, many better days. felt budget and skeezy. this was neither charming nor a good deal.

Everything from its decor to the friendly staff always at their best to help you.. we will stay here again..

The price, room was spacious, and it was located in the plaza.

No hotel parking, had to find parking on the streets and pay parking meters.

The staff are marvelous! Always friendly and ready to help. The rooms were always immaculate and the beds were comfortable and militarily neat. The location puts you with footsteps of the Plaza, the cathedral, restaurants and and shopping. They serve the best Puerto Rican coffee in the mornings! There are several restaurants nearby!

The hotel does not have parking and requires a walk to get to the municipal lot, but is served by a police substation right there. There is no elevator because of the historic nature of the building.

There is a sort of gentlemens club next door ,they were making to much noise and at 2:30am the police saunded their siren and I guess everybody went home.
