Great Staff. Very helpful. Wonderfully situated in Old San Juan.
A bit of noise from both outside and folks talking loudly in the hallways early in the morning.
This hotel was in a great location such that you could walk to the cruise ship piers, to the tourist sites, as well as to the bars and restaurants. The hotel was well renovated and was beautifully decorated.
The only negative was that the wifi was not operational during our stay. Instead we walked around the corner to the nearby Starbucks, bought a coffee, and used their wifi.
Great room with a comfortable bed. The room was well air conditioned and the shower was extremely strong with very hot water. Having a breakfast with personally fresh brewed latte was excellent.
It was a little noisy because of the proximty to the street, but that also added to the charm of being downtown. Also the WIFI could be stronger and faster.
Awesome hotel, super friendly and accommodating staff, brilliant location. Didn't like the first room they showed so they upgraded us to the best room in the house.
Excellent location within walking distance of major sites and restaurants. Staff was friendly and hotel had a lot of charm.
Street noise can be heard in room all hours of the night. Bathroom was not very private with see through door. Room was small with no chairs or sofa.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was very good.
Well located, great view out the Juliet balcony in my room, friendly and professional staff. Beautiful room, with comfortable bed, high ceilings, and an impeccable shower.
The garbage trucks in the neighborhood woke up everyone in the hotel at 4 am. The beeping noise kept everyone awake for an hour. Also, the wifi was poor and I had trouble skyping with my boyfriend in England even when I tried it in the lobby.
The room was large, had an elevator, very clean, helpful staff and continental breakfast
Room was clean, A/C worked great, plenty of hot water. Staff was really great.
There was some street noise from drunks late at night but that will be a problem with any balcony room at any hotel in Old San Juan.
Chateau Cervantes is located 2 blocks from the cruise terminal and 2 blocks from shopping. Our balcony overlooked the street behind with its blue cobble stoned street. The continental breakfast was luxurious, with cappuccinos, juice, fruit, cheese, meat, cereal, and a plate of croissants, bagels, sweet rolls and spreads. They even offered us breakfast on the day we arrived for early check in after our cruise.
It was a bit noisy late at night and early morning. The air conditioning was set a bit low and couldn't be adjusted.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful to us as first time visitors. The room was small but very clean and the shower was quite good. The location of the hotel was perfect.
nice and clean
Arranged a taxi for early morning ride to airport and a small breakfast. Excellent recommendation for supper.
Room is a little small.
Friendly helpful staff; good European style breakfast; excellent shower and baths; very convenient location. Terrific Puerto Rican coffee.
Unfortunately they suffer from a location across from the main parking garages in Old San Juan. The lovely suites, with 3 balconies, and two baths are on the parking garage side of the building. If quiet and view are more I portant than luxury baths consider a junior suite with balcony on the quitter side of the building.
The room was so cold I had to wear jeans, sweatshirt and socks to sleep and was still freezing. There was a sign on the locked thermostat to go to the front desk if temp was a problem, but when I went down at 10 pm there was no one there and the lobby was dark. I sleep with thermostat at 65 nightly, but it was unbearable. My husband couldn't sleep he was so cold.
The view of all the local shops from my balcony.
The room was spacious and updated. The staff was unfailingly pleasant and helpful, and the continental breakfast included great coffee, fruit, and a generous platter of rolls, croissants and toast.
Our room, with a balcony on the back side of the hotel, was extremely noisy. Dumpsters under the balcony were emptied at various times every night, followed by street washing that involved a truck engine revving incessantly while slowly backing / beeping.
The Chateau Cervantes is a beautiful building with excellent staff. The suite was fantastic, view of outside was excellent. Continental breakfast included every morning. Loved it!
Somewhat loud from street noise, but would not keep me from staying here again.
poor WIFI availability.
The care that the employees give. My compliments to Alma and to Jennifer for their extraordinary assistance to us to all our needs from information about Old San Juan and printing our boarding pass. These 2 ladies plus the others make Chateau Cervantes an A+ on my list to stay in Old San Juan.
Internet signal on the 4rt floor was weak.
Staff was very friendly! Location was fabulous! We could walk everywhere in the Old Town area Nice breakfast
Would have liked the restaurant / bar to be open in the evening but there are plenty of options within an easy walking distance of the hotel
There was a hitch in our travel plans and the staff did more than expected to help us out. All were friendly and always had smiles ready for us.
Wi-Fi had some problems.
