Great location, friendly staff, clean clean clean! big room. good Wifi. Everything is very satisfactory.
staff & location.3 blocks from cruise ship
The facilities. The location. The service level
Friendly staff happy to store our luggage for our flight to ny. Good recommendations of places to visit and eat in PR.
Staff was helpful breakfast was good and places were nice Came for our honeymoon stayed for a week and they felt like family Nice surprise when we showed up and very accommodating Good value
Wifi doesn't cover all the rooms and there was quite a bit of noise from the road A little hard to sleep if you sleep light
The location was unbeatable
The atmosphere wasn't as great as it looked in the pictures, but the staff was great, location was great and when you're in Old San Juan you don't need more than a place to rest your head at night
Very friendly, helpful staff. Anna was great.
Very noisy at night , could not get any rest. Carpets need cleaning or replacement, bedding not spotless, blanket was not a part of bedding. Phone not available, customers need to be notified, smell of deodorizer to overwhelming in the rooms.
Good location, walking distance to cruise terminal
Very noisy. Loud air conditioner noise from nearby building, and garbage dump at back street in the middle of night.
I liked the fact that everything I needed to get to was in walking distance. I loved the restaurants I ate at, the gift stores and the nightclubs. I would love to visit again. This was my 2nd visit to San Juan, PR.
Some peoples attitudes.
A beautiful old building with nicely restored rooms. Excellent customer service. Very nice breakfast with great pastries and especially good coffee. Perfect location...next to trolley stop and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Across the street from parking.
A little noisy at night...but, hey, you're in a city.
Michelle and her staff worked hard to make my wife and I welcome on our Anniversary Trip. They gave us some instructions on the important places to visit in San Juan, and how to get to the most important places of interest in Old San Juan. The hotel is close to most of the historic areas of the Old San Juan such as La Fortaleza, El Cristo, El Paseo de La Princesa, and most of the stores where we found all type of souvenirs. The room was always nicely fixed and cleaned thanks to Yisauri, our clean lady, who provided my wife and I with all necessary grooming items after our long walks in the city. Breakfast was excellent, basic continental but tasty. We loved the way Michelle and her team worked around us during breakfast time. Coffee, juice and pastries were fresh and delicious. I will recommend this hotel to friends due to the service and the location.
We missed a phone and an alarm clock in the room. A little noise on Sunday night, but we could sleep.
Friendly, Welcoming Staff Comfortable room Good continental breakfast Comfortable bed Close to Old San Juan attractions
We loved everything! Loved the modern decor meets old world treasure! View was spectacular, overall charming and would definitely recommend!
Our shower leaked but it was no big deal. Continental breakfast was very simple...we decided to eat mallorcas in town instead!
Staff was very helpful Breakfast was very good Location great
They need better sound damping from noise coming from back street
We enjoyed how friendly the staff was. Also, the room was nice, but it was small. I would stay here again
The room was small and the sheets had someone else's hair on them
great staff, great location
pull out bed not so comfortable, temperature of air conditioning a problem
Location was great!
Due to the location, there was a lot of noise from the street all throughout the night.
Close to everything. We arrived late on the 4rth of July and were only staying for one night before cruising out the next day. We were within seconds of tons of great restaurants and shops. We also felt very safe. The staff was awesome making some great recommendations about where to go. Then the next day after checked out they watched out luggage all day while we went sight seeing. Awesome place. We also had a nice breakfast there that was nothing fancy but perfect for getting the day started.
Althought the rom was beautiful and the bed was comfy, I am a light sleeper and could hear everything off our balcony that was going on all night. My husband slept fine because he had his headphones in. I loved the patio (gorgeous view of the city) but this was the only downfall.
Room and facilities were very nice.
Noise from outside. Something on the roof sounds like a jet engine .
- Staff - Location - Space in the room (but no chair)
- No internet in the room - Poor breakfast - Breakfast starts at 08:30 AM !!! - Dark room - Smell in the room
room was a little smaller than we expected, very low ceilings. But cozy and quite. Cant walk to the new ship terminal, for the Royal Caribbean. Kind of why we stayed there. The taxi charged us more to drive us to the ship, than they did from the airport to the hotel?
The location was really good, close to great restaurants, many historical sites. The breakfast wasn't bad, but mostly an assortment of pastries. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
The cleanliness of our room was terrible. The glasses in our room were so filthy I took pictures of them cause I couldn't believe it. When we pulled the bed sheets back there was so much hair throughout the bed that my wife was grossed out. There was also a stain on the sheets, which the cleaning lady the next morning tried to justify by saying it was normal and passes inspection. We did inform the front desk about the uncleanliness of our room and she offered to move us, but we had already unpacked and were so tired from our day of travel that we sleeper in a new room but left our luggage in the first room. The new room was cleaner, but there were still strands of hair on the sheets. The next morning as we were packing up I decided to inspect the room closer and found hair balls in the carpets, hair throughout the bathroom floor and even on some of the unused towels. The last disappointment was that the bar at the hotel was not open. It would have been nice to have a couple of drinks prior to dinner with my wife. We were informed that the owner did not have all the permits for alcohol. In all we were given a 9% discount for our troubles which seemed ridiculous to me seeing that the room cost $184.00 with all the hidden fees that we were not informed about prior to arrival. By far not worth going the boutique hotel way with everything we encountered.
When we arrived, Anna at the front desk welcomed us and informed us of many great sites, restaurants and other things to do in Old San Juan. Our room was extremely comfortable and clean and every staff member we encountered was very friendly. When we returned after a long, very hot day outing they could not get cold bottles of water for us fast enough. They did everything possible to make our visit enjoyable and we look forward to returning again as soon as possible. They define customer service and a sincere willingness to help anyway possible. Thank you all so much!
Not a thing. It was an exceptional visit!
The beautiful hotel rooms and common areas; the friendly, helpful people at the front desk and taking care of our room; the location and access to the best of Old San Juan.
Oh, the street noise was at times noticed, but it is all part of the charm in staying in this area.
