The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had a great view, was very comfortable, and was well laid out.
Location was great. Room was clean and beautiful. Staff were very courteous and professional.
Elevator was small and slow. This was particularly a problem around check out time. Closet was inside the bathroom. City view rooms on the lower floors have no view whatsoever.
We enjoy our stay. The breakfast was excellen. Pool . Fitness rm n hot tub as well. I will come back .
They should up grade on there tv.
Service, Staff, Location, Food Options.
A lot of hidden extra cost...with the Resort Fees and taxes - plan on adding 25 to 30 % more to the cost of the Room.
The pool are was nice.
Pamela at the reception was very unfriendly and did not smile once. Although the hotel was half empty she gave a third floor room with a balcony attached to a roof. Another, and much friendlier person, at the reception changed my room to a higher floor. There is no soundproof inside rooms. You could hear everything from the street all night long. Needless to say i didn't sleep much.
Good location, near to a decent beach, and The Old San Juan, water activities ( aren't part of the hotel but is a plus). Got the lagoon view.
The pool at the Laguna Tower didn't had security at all, there is a parking lot from which you can access directly the pool and there is NO ONE outside checking if people getting in are actually guest, they have a bar near the pool that is for decoration i stayed from Friday to Monday is was NEVER open. In the main pool, there is a toboggan kids pile on top of each other, also adults waiting for kids, actually you would end up hitting someone on ur way down. No one is making sure inside the pool that area is clear just for people coming from the sledge. On both pools saw people smoking worst is that servers attended them without making them put the cigarette off (there is a non-smoking policy...). Another issue is the bathroom is way to small. I believe the hotel price is not worth the stay.
Caribe restaurant. the pools . the view
resort fee and resort taxes . the bed was comfortable but too low
Loved the location, beautiful views of the ocean and the city. Everything you want is right there, you dont have to leave for anything if you dont want too. Access to the strip is nice. I recommend visiting the strip on your first night in PR instead of your last night like we did.
Our last night we had dinner at Pikayo restaurant located inside the hotel. The service was superb but the food was disappointing with the exception of the cheese souffle with guava sauce when was almost to die for. The only reason I say the food was a disappointment is because the price that we payed for it. My husband and I both got the tasting menu and 3 hours later ended up going to Denny's because we were still hungry. When they say "tasting" menu, that's exactly what they mean. I was also not impressed with Cafe Caribe. The view of the ocean was by far the best view you could have an any restaurant but the food is worse than fast food and extremely over-priced.
We spend to much money in two day.
They had security stationed in the hall way near by our room. They said Security was protecting a high profile individual. Therefore we believe we should not have been assigned this nearby room on that floor.
The view of the city
Resort fees and taxes...not really a resort !!!
Wi-fi never worked...it kept me away from the laptop...a good thing I guess
As a mom with 2 kids ages 10 and 7 the pool with slide was great. Kept the boys happy and entertained. This is my 2nd time staying here and I will definitely come again. I give them a A+
The parking fee
The view & casino
The pool/slide was a lot of fun for our children. The proximity to other hotel resorts that were more accommodating for a family of 4, with nicer/more well maintained beaches. The proximity to Old San Juan.
The staff was extremely unhelpful. Any time I tried to call the front desk, house keeping, hotel services phone line, no one ever answered. There was never a manager around to answer questions that the staff was unable to answer. I had to wait 25min in the middle of the day to get a bartender to take my food/drink order at the pool bar, because there was no one attending the bar area. It was close to impossible to get extra towels. I was charged for my "Free-Breakfast" at a discounted rate. There is NO "Breakfast included" feature at the hotel, so when you book there and think its included, its not. The bed was very uncomfortable. The shower leaked and the A.C. made funny noises in the middle of the night that kept the kids awake. When I tried to speak with the hotel staff about these issues, they were not helpful in any way. When I finally spoke with a manager, she just took $100.00 off my bill and wanted to give me towels. She never addressed any of the concerns. Upon my departure, I asked again to speak with a manager to try to rectify my bill (because of the over-charges) and none was available. I called today and only got voicemails. I'm fortunate that I get to travel a lot, and can say with ever bit of confidence, this is the worst stay I've ever had anywhere at anytime.
Nice decor Pleasant Staff Good food
We enjoyed the weather, the view from our room, clean room always, close to bus stop, near beach, enjoyed the swim up pool bar. Great price stay, 4 nights. Helpful staff.
room was not available when we arrived which was after 6pm.
This is not my first time in this hotel. I notice great changes from year to year and honestly they are not for the better. I wish you luck...
After arriving on an early flight,we came to the facilities to leave our luggages and do our pre-registering for the rooms that we have required weeks on advance(no expecting them to be ready and waiting for us)but to get ahead with the protocol,so come time things will go smood. 3 rooms were booked,3 rooms were claimed. I was told by the counter person that as soon as any room were available,I and the people on my party would be contacted for each particular room. Within 35mins. we got a call. Went to the counter. Nobody new anything, but afew minutes past I got the first room.Good and dandy!! Let the wait begin.and we wait.Meanwhile, guest are coming and getting their rooms.Still,we wait and wait,Its getting real busy now.But we wait and wait.3 o'clock came, and I said, well its about time for me to get the rest(2) of the rooms for my very tire people. Went to the counter, here what the counter person said,"your rooms are not yet ready for you". To what I replyed, how long I being waiting and hoping for my turn! Being told that nothing is guarrantie till 4 o'clock. Back at 4 o'clock nobody new anything about my booking and still, there were not room available for me. When I demanded a solution to this situation, the counter person went military on me! Demanding to see pictures ID and line-up of every one conected to the rooms.Maind you,I booked and pay for all the rooms in question...at the end he gave me the rooms(I think he just had about enough of me and my daughter faces) I could go on and on,but I asked myself What the Hell was all these about!!!
It was close to Old San Juan and other local sites.
The slot machines in the casino could be updated, the tv's in the rooms could be a little bigger, and at least have a 24-hour snack bar.
The only upside of the hotel is the bar/diner called Denny's, which was open 24 hours, with a friendly staff, good food and drinks.
Condado Plaza Hilton is a terrible hotel and we certainly do not recommend it to others. One of the reasons why we have chosen to stay there was free wifi, but the connection was very bad. It was never stable and if you could manage to stay connected to internet, then the slow speed kills you. Second thing is that they charge everything extra. We had to pay double of what we were thinking we would pay. Apparently there is a fee to use the facilities; including the hotel pool! They don't have room service, which is understandable, thinking of the crowd. The sea was not good, and two pools are tiny for that much of a crowd.
Lots of pools, great views, great rooms, great work out area and Nice lounge that looks out to ocean
Food was expensive , had to pay for parking ($18) a night and the lagoon beach part was very dirty also you had to pay for beach umbrella and rent any pool item or snorkeling item. Most of all Denny's has the worst serves of all.
The view was awesome very close to the beach.
Power kept going out in the room pool chair was broken.
