The location was good. Nice view of the bay. We were the only people staying so we had privacy.
The room was not ready when we arrived. The shower drain did not work properly, so we had to use the toilet plunger to un-clog it. We were later moved to another unit, as the plumbing was not working. There was no one available to us for any cleaning, questions, or restocking of necessities. We would not stay at this place again. So disappointing, as culebra is so beautiful, and everyone on the island is so friendly.
no instructions. Need lists of taxi companies, of car rental, of property manager. Saturday night loud party next door.
Excellent view over de Ensenada Honda, the inner bay of Culebra, from a big and shady balcony with a fresh breeze. Kitchenette is basic but complete, and big American fridge was great. Staff was helpful, but it also helps when you speak Spanish.
Balcony does not protect you rom rain. Noise from cars on the road, aeroplanes passing over the house, can be at times disturbing. The place is a bit run down, but for backpacker standards fine. If you have no car it is a 20 minute walk to town, but bike rent can compensate for that.
The view when we looked out the next morning
Very difficult to find the room after dark. Didn't make it clear we HAD to know room number...then find it with no directions. Only worked because the taxi driver helped us ....Not worth the money we paid for this. Would not recommend it.
I really liked the front porch and the view of the bay from Amapola 8A. I liked the nice outdoor patio set with the chairs too. I didn't see any bugs, the hot water worked, there was a stove, fridge, microwave, and all the basic kitchen needs. I liked the full-length closet mirrors too. Air conditioner worked well. Fan was nice to circulate air. It's a decent place to stay, right on road 250. I have no complaints really. You can tell the owners are trying to do upgrades.
The smell of fresh paint was a bit intense in our sleeping area.
Great View. Good Location. Secluded. Laid back.
Staff is not present, communication by the phone was poor at arrival. No soap and shampoo was available, although it was ok.
Location and view
Run down only three twin very small beds, very uncomfortable pillows and single sheets old, no comfort kitchen equipment old and rusty
ac worked well, old inside but clean, hot water worked great
58 steps to villa, poor lighting at night when walking up steps, very old, deck could use some paint, some villas looked like they were painted and they looked great, great place for young group but i would never bring my mother there
Rundown furniture, wasp nest, rodents.. if you like wooden cabin in the wild take it but don't expect luxury.
the scenery is very good can see the sea. I like the house style and never live in that style house
The maintenance man. When called, the excuses for the problems was not representative for its employer. The kitchen needs help, the bathroom light were not working. The wireless system code was incorrect. Sorry, will never return to that rental again. Will visit the area again. Carl of Hagerstown
location was nice and secluded, right across from beach
comfort level, hard bed, interior very run down, no lampshades on any lamps, no outdoor light, dangerous ceiling fan, cannot see out of windows, no staff, no soap shampoo etc, value for price not good
Amazing view Private No need to have contact with staff Spacious Romantic and cozy space Close to the downtown area (20 min walking)
the bed was really uncomfortable, worst bed I have ever slept in.
everything was good....relax, quiet, great location....love it....I would stay again any time
The view and value were great, that's about it.
Property is way neglected, would not stay there again. That stove is dangerous! Roaches, salamander droppings everywhere. The whole house is rotting away.
A lot of insects in the bathroom. Also both showers were unserviceable.
I had difficulty locating the building/apt, and no one ever returned any of my several calls. It was not easy for me to find the building/apt and more detailed pre-arrival instructions and warnings would have been appropriate. All I knew was that the keys would be under the mat, but I did not have clear infomration about the building/apt. Because your checking-in system is so rare, it should have been better highlighted. Moreover, the fact that no one answered my calls (or called me back) was very dissapoining. I called the number posted as opposed to the Spanish speaking gentleman who I spoke with earlier (since I did not have his number). Water just stopped duing a shower. You should really warn people about the stairs. It was not an issue for us, but it needs to be communicated. Lack of lighting going up the steep stairs at night is a safety issue, but I realize that these days most phones have flashlights applications. Not every room had air conditioning. So, we could not sleep in the beds in all areas. We ended up sharing beds. So, I feel that there was some misinfomration about air conditioning/beds.
