The location, convenience and friendly staff.
Rooms are small but it's okay.
Good Condado location, near the beach and great dining. Pretty exterior.
Rooms were dirty and run down. Parking was not on site or near nor was it $18/day as advertised. It was 2 blocks away in the Marriott parking garage for $25/day and only if you ask Marriott for a neighbor discount, otherwise it's $60/day (and they don't tell you about the discount). Advertised as a bed and breakfast. Breakfast consisted of a plate of mini croissants from the grocery, terrible coffee, and use of the kitchen. And then, the water quit working. No showers, toilets, anything for 24 hours (then we left). Hotel staff disappeared during the water snafu and the phone was left off the hook so we couldn't find out what was going on.
Staf was freindly, breakfast contin. Was oke, you may have a swim at another hotel, location to centre good, beds are oke.
Dirty, old, window muscitoscreens broken, noisy, nor place to eat when its raining, parasols outside broken, old small rooms, with booking.com you have to be sure you make a good fill in the form otherwise you do not have a room you expected. We filled in 2 adults 1 child and whe get a room for 2. So be carefull!!! Take another hotel for more comfort and for the same price. This is not a good rate for the price you have to pay?
Staff were wonderful and very helpful. They gave us great advice on local activities to do. Breakfast was basic but substantial enough.
Love that everything was very close to the mall & old San juan . the beach is near that's a plus.
What I didn't like is that I stayed there for 5 days and the breakfast was the same repeatedly. "Add some more choices please"!
On another note, the other property, Casa del Caribe Inn was very nice, the room was very large, and the workers were very friendly.
We had requested an early check-in. We arrived in the morning but it wasn't available. We provided a copy of the reservation upon arrival. The desk attendant made us write our phone numbers on the paper to call us if the room was ready earlier than 2:30. I went shopping. My roommate was tired from our cruise and sat reading in the hotel waiting area where they had us leave our bags. She said it was freezing in there and she was way too cold. She waited long after 2:30 and then was told much later that we were at the wrong hotel. The attendant took my check-in information that morning and confirmed we were staying there!! They had my roommate and another worker move all our luggage to another property in the area. It was a riduculously long time to wait to get into the room to begin with and then to have to lug everything elsewhere was not good.
The staff was friendly. We met the most helpful one at check out! Who let us know that there were 3 additional sister properties that our key opens the gate to so you have access to not only this property but others with nice pools, hot tubs etc. The room was CLEAN and it was exactly what booking.com said it would cost not a penny more. No deposit or anything! Its a beautiful as it appears in pictures. 6 min cab from airport! 15 cab ride
The building is old. But seems well kept. No elevator but just 3 floors. I'd totally stay here again.. I probably will!
location, cleanliness, decor, management very helpfu any issues and willing to accomodate,
Night receptionist helpful but slow on processing registration. Front desk was not maned 24 hrs as indicated. Was not aware there was no elevator and was placed on the third floor. The stairs posed an issue for me. They offered to move me to a sister property across the street on the first floor. They turned what could have been negative to positive.
Service, attitude and location.
The bed was a full size.
location hotel, architecture hotel, lobby, decoration with plants of hotel
- not much effort in room - no effort in breakfast (only some pastry, dry cheap bread, sugarcovered cereals, bad coffee) - staff not at all hospitable, no service
I like the area and it was nicely decorated.
The 2nd night that we stayed here the bathroom and shower was to small
location! staff was really nice and helpful
bathroom was no so clean, at least design seemed old. AC was just beside my bed, it should point somewhere in the room that can cool the rest of the room, not only one bed.
The air conditioner worked. The outside patio in back was charming.
NO ELEVATOR!! The room was rough - tiny step up into bathroom and the fake wood floor was raggedly cut and came right to the edge of step. TV not plugged in; phone didn't work. Based on reviews I read, we expected something much nicer.
Ideally located in the Candado area. Near to great restaurants, shops, Walgreens and CVS. Comfortable bed. Soft and clean towels!
The bed was excellent. I had many comfortable night sleep. Thank you.
Continental breakfast. Many days the Pastry was not fresh.
There are some great restaurants down the street, and we had wonderful Italian food in a locals place.
Even though we felt safe, it was a bit dark on the street, and Puerto Rico can be dicey.
Good for one night stay and is safe
Rooms not modern. It appeared that this place was a converted older home.NO ELAVATOR
Location, location, location.
Air conditioning was off for two days and staff seemed unconcerned. Hotel was not as well appointed as the photos. Indications were there was a concierge, but actually no one was available. We speak Spanish so that wasn't an issue.
I love the location which was a block from the beach and near a wide variety of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. so everything was walking distance and close to downtown San Juan (that wasn't walkable). It was a really cute boutique hotel with a nice outdoor area where you can sit and hang out. Also they had outdoor showers for guests that checked-out but may have a long wait before their flight, so they are allowed to hang out in the hotel and take a shower or use the bathroom. I thought that was a great amenity. The staff was friendly and changed our towels daily. They offered a continental breakfast that consisted of pastries, cereals, and OJ - not the healthiest but at least they had it.
We were located at the end of the hall in Room 202 where you had to step down into the room. It's about 2 inches off the ground and we kept stumbling as we entered, which sucked. The AC couldn't be controlled so it was blasting cold air and loudly, too. The room had a slight musty smell that I just hate. The bathroom was super small with the toilet right in front of the sink. Bad design. The bed was so uncomfortable and the sheets were so stiff and scratchy, I had such a difficult time sleeping. Don't know if to blame it on the bed and sheets or time zone (I live in the West Coast). My friends left a day before me, so I checked into a single room my last night, which was much much better. However, I once again got room 106 at the end of the hall that had that step into the room. No idea why I kept getting the "reject rooms".
Everything, and the fact that we could use the hot tub and pool at the sister hotels was even better!
I landed from my flight and spent 40 minutes trying to find a parking spot to check in. After a while we parked on public sidewalk and walked with our luggage (there isn't a hotel driveway or place to leave your baggage meanwhile you check in). Once on the reception I immediately knew by the temperature and mosquitoes the a/c was not working. Since is almost 100 degrees outside and the statement that the parking is at "walking distance" not being true, I informed the receptionist i was checking in for one night and will do check out the next day (tomorrow). She immediately went on the negative (not being courteous at all) and said they were going to charge the four nights. I reached out to Booking customer service and she even pretended not to speak english so we won't receive any assistance from Nate at Booking. There were other guests present doing similar claims and this lady (by the name of ivelisse) was giving them same treatment and it didn't seemed this was a hotel but as if you were talking to someone down the street. The policy apply when you meet what you offered, when you meet basic standards and you meet basic satisfaction which in this case there wasn't: - they were having electricity problems, therefore no air conditioner - we also heard a guest couple claiming their room was ready, that they could leave their belongings there. Only to find out the maid left their room completely opened (all doors) with all their belongings and values there and we felt our belongings wouldn't be safe if they did that to guests. - the vicinity is not safe to walk so many blocks if you go out of your room and need your car (they claimed it was close believe me i walked that distance and is not close at all) - the attention we received went far from hotel or guesthouse i felt even threatened.
I didn' t like the smell of humidity and of an old builing in the bathroom. It felted like you were at a extremely old building that has that mildew, humid smell. I've been their customer for some time because of the my business. But this time it was awful the smell. They need to repair that bathroom from room 301.
The location was very good. Very clean.
Facilities in poor repair, especially bathroom. Bedroom small and dark, beds not comfortable. Very noisy in room across from kitchen, bad night's sleep. No common space to relax in.
Coffee early in the morning The room first floor Location and the freshmart right across the street The lime water
Suggest that they use lavendor plug inn in the room.
