On Isla Verde Beach, this oceanfront resort is just over 1 mile from Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. It features 4 on-site restaurants and a full-service spa.
Score from 90 reviews Excellent
In the Isla Verde area of San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Hampton Inn is just a 5-minute walk from the beach and just over half a mile from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport.
Score from 233 reviews Wonderful
4th floor, black mold in the bathroom mirrors, cleaning supplies displayed at the main bar.
Very short distance from the airport and right on the beach. The atmosphere is great. Very convenient location. The hotel food was good.
The room was somewhat outdated and need upgrades.
Love the place and facilities. Needs to be updated more, cleaned better. The lobby had nice entertainment.
I wished it would be a bit more cleaner and updated. The lobby on the weekends has a dress code that we were not aware of when staying. The food and drinks were very pricey for the amount that you got. Some of the staff were very helpful like Jonathan and some were just matter of fact. Other than that it was a nice stay but not for the amount they charge.
Nice pools, clean beach area, clean rooms
Rooms didn't have refrigerators, radio/iPod docks didn't work, balcony was a sliding door only no porch. Bars were very pricey
Beautiful hotel and pools!
Costs for food and drinks. $11.00 for a 6 oz Pina Colada in a plastic cup- ridiculous!
You come to El San Juan for the location and the nightlife. The Italian restaurant in the lobby is fantastic.
You definitely pay for it. Rooms are average at best, staff is slow, entire hotel is noisy. Below average for a Hilton.
Everything, julissa was very helpfull best experience ever, highly recommended. ..
We arrived around 4pm, and the booked room ( 2 double beds) was not available. The booking and payment were made months before, but since the reservation was made with booking.com we were bumped to another room (king + extra bed). I did not mind, but this is not correct. That is why we make reservations with time ahead.
Room quality was great, staff helpful and courteous, location perfect, pool clean and comfortable
Was not given a king room as booked originally but was moved after complained, no hot water for spa bath until late evening
Very nice lobby and friendly staff .Angelo was a great help ant concierge. This is a party hotel!! You can here the loud music coming from everywhere. There are a couple of pool bars. One of them you get your drink while 8n the water. Live dj pool side live band inside and the hotel club is of the chain. It is a non smoking hotel so I couldnt enjoy my cigar anywhere on the hotel property.
WARNING WARNING Add about $70 per day of hidden resort fees that they do not tell you up front so be prepared for the hit at the end. The grounds need a lot of help! The drinks are very pricey and they measure evey drop of liquor that goes into your drink. The room are out dated and not worth the $347 a night that we paid.
The staff was amazing and helpful and super kind. The place was beautiful we feel in love with the place cant wait to go back.
I loved everything thing
Overpriced. The hotel is getting old and not a great value for what you pay.
Beach is nice and lobby bar was okay.
Dumpy, rundown, old hotel. Terrible staff. Very overpriced. Stay elsewhere. Much better value somewhere else.
Close proximity to the ocean. Friendlyness of the staff, especially the man at the front door getting taxis and tours from the hotel. Consierge service people are frendly and helpfull.
Most of the restaurants in the hotel. Meat House is outragous prices for the terrible food served there. Koco was the best there, expecailly our waiter Rafael. Breakfast area buffet was very good for the money. Prices for a bottle of water ($5.25) outrageous. The fact that we picked the week before school vacation and other people take their kids out of school the week before annoyed us. Not the resort's problem, but the area within walking distance of the hotel was deplorable. This is PR's probem.
nice swimingpool area, very good restaurants, nice and helpfull stuf
rooms and buildings - bad quality, old furniture
15 dollar cocktails
The beach and common areas were great! The atmosphere was a tropical paradise.
The fact that they don't take Discover card and Beach closed too early.
Loved the general atmosphere of the hotel, its lively and love the live music in the lobby.
Didnt like our "casita" room, damp and smelly, old and very tired, we asked to be moved to the tower, room was better but the disco had us bouncing in our beds with the vibration, not good.
Staff was great, friendly, helpful. Amenities and pools were great.
Hotel put a large hold on our credit card during our stay, so make sure you check your account and have cash
The pool but could not use it as unable to check in for entire day
The front desk staff were nvery unco-operative we arrived 1000 and they made us wait until 1615 for a room - thus made us unable to utilise facilities find it very hard to believe that there were no rooms avail earlier as numerous people were continually checking out from 1000 on wards - so in reality we only had our room for 11 hours not value for money - they said they would text our mobiles when the room was avail which of course did not happen - don't say you are going to do something and then don't even bother leaves a very bad impression on me
Beautiful location. Breakfast buffet excellent, overlooking pools and beach. Wait staff extremely helpful. Italian fine dining restaurant excellent. The Veal chop at 16 ounces was almost too much to eat. Casino was great fun, even won a little. Did the Jet skis on the beach. Wonderful time. Lots of pools and pool area very clean. Lobby is beautiful. Overall an 8.
The rugs in the hallways were really ratty looking and stained. Also the hallways were extremely cold. Better to lower the temp in the hallway. The pocket door to the bathroom would not close all the way and since there was no fan in the bathroom you could hear every moment in the bathroom. Housekeeping staff forgot washcloths one day. Interior of room sparsely furnished, not really up to the hilton brand name standard. Also no guide for tv channels. Very expensive to eat in the coffee type shop. Could have had steaks at Outback at Embassy suites for less money. Also one night they had advertised Tango dancing and there was none. A disappointment.
location and room
too expensive, staff is just plain rude and unfriendly!
The private beach was excellent, all the restaurants served delicious food, the casino was fun, the lobby was lively with bands, and the lobby bar made the best pina coladas. The pools were nice, but we did not use them due to the beach. The gardens were well maintained and pretty spectacular.
Some of the food was a little pricey, but when you factor in the quality, it was ok.
