At least, have a tv
Management was very decent in helping us upgrade our room, inexpensive.
Due for a remodel.
the hotel had to structure, the guy who is in charge of the keys to the rooms is also the bar tender that works downstairs. he was supposed to give me a double bed room and then only gave me a single, then told me he would give me a second night for free because he did not have any double beds available. and then in the morning promptly at 10:45 a man came banging on the door kicking us out of the room because they were fully booked for the following night. he did give me a full refund on the room but the money is not worth the experience, there are much nicer hotels on the island that are right around the same price.
Pretty close to the harbor
Horrible service Tiny Room Horrible bed. WHen you get up, your back will be destroyed. Noisy room HOnestly, if you want to have a bad experience in Culebra, you must to book Hotel KOKOMO.
Service received by David Gonzalez was excellent (Administrator). Location.
Rooms were dusty. A-C capacity not properly for room size. A-C at the original room booked wasn't working, so had to move to another room (this was actually ok because in the first room we couldn't even walk). Had to ask for towel replacements the third day. No trash pick up. Maintenance guy was extremely rude. Parking is limited.
There was very few things about Kokomo that one could like such as the shower tiles were very nice. The large window in the living room gave a great view to the ocean.
I'm no expert but Kokomo needs a serious renovation. Let's begin with the lights all light bulbs need to be replaced when out, the walls need to be repainted, hooks, light cables, and outlet plate covers needs to be removed or replaced. The ceiling needs to be scraped and painted. The fan needs to be cleaned or update with lights that work. Another air conditioner is needed in the living room along with windows that close and open. Tile floors need to be washed with brush and mopped. Mops and brooms should not be left behind for guests. No clocks were located in the room. No entertainment was provided such as a tv, radio, telephone, ext. In conclusion I shall not return or recommend Kokomo.
Position of the hotel
In the night it was very noisy! On our last night a huge cockroach ran along the ceiling then we packed our things and already checked out at 03:00 in the morning and waited at the ferry for 3 hours!
The hotel is Located in town across from the ferry pier and walking distance to restaurants and other services. Beautiful view overlooking the bay and there are several restaurants within a 100 yard walk including a bakery right below the hotel that was fabulous. The kitchen was equipped with fridge, dishes, microwave, coffee maker etc... The property managers, Mike and David were nice and helpful as well.
There is a bar on the first floor that plays very loud music and/or Karaoke until 3am every night packed with mostly young locals. Some of the windows in the 3rd floor 2 bedroom suite did not close completely making it difficult to sleep even with earplugs and it was difficult for the one AC window unit to keep it cool in August heat. To add insult to injury, the gas station next door has a very "Festive 80 year old Puerto Rican man" that starts playing blasting loud Puerto Rican music at 8am every morning. I believe it's just something that happens on Culebra because the roosters start "cock-a-doodle-doing" at about 5am as well. Like I said, if you like to party late night this is definitely " the place to be". There is no daily cleaning service as you would expect in a hotel, fresh towels would have been nice.
Walking distance food and beverage
Nothing about this place is good.
We ended up leaving and booking another place to stay. It was infested with bugs everywhere. We didn't even ask for our money back.
Can't open the room windows .
Cerca del terminal y de transportación.
Las facilidades deben mejorar.
charge me 30 dollar a day for cleaness but no one came to clean my room for 5 days
Good location right near the ferry. Clean room, management and employees were pleasant.
Traffic gets congested when the ferries arrive or depart. The upper rooms are near the rooftop terrace and can get water into the room when it rains. Wifi is not reliable. No minibar. Few of the partners seemed inhospitable. (To be clear I was not certain of their position, only that they worked there). Nothing to ruin the vacation though.
close to the ferry, relatively cheap
downstairs is a bar, you will enjoy some local performance at night
Directly across from the ferry. Both Davids took great care of us.
Location, very accessible from the port. The Penthouse is ample: it has it's kitchen, two rooms, a bathroom and the living room, which is huge. The view is great, since you are in the third floor. The party is just under your apartment, so you don't need to move anywhere.
The stairs are too steep and its a challenge to get up and down with babies and coolers, etc. The room is so close to the noisy bar, so you can't sleep early. The room doesn't have air conditioning and there's a curtain missing, so you sleep at the view of your neighbors, and the sun wakes you up early morning.
Unit has 2 bedrooms. Only one with AC. The other one no AC, windows without curtains, right beside a balcony where people have to pass by to the other unit. We all had to sleep in the same bedroom. No privacy at all. Furniture in living area were very worn down, with dirty slipcovers.
Location was fair enough, close to taxis and some restaurants.
Hotel was located above the only night bar, and on the weekends it was impossible to sleep. Even after 2:30am when the party was over, people were still hanging out and talking loud. Windows were impossible to close, so it felt like they were inside our room. On the weekdays situation was a bit better but if you want to rest, this is not hotel for it. There was no hot water the whole time. Room was decent size, but bed was really uncomfortable. Also, I could say that something has bite me all over my body, and I am not sure if that are bed bugs or something else. Outside the room, but still in the hotel's hallway there were cockroaches. Overall, not staying there ever again.
The view was amazing
Dirty, dirty dirty.
Bathroom door was broken. Couches were horribly stained. Kitchen cabinets were falling apart. Stairs to go up were unbelievably steep and the building seemed like it was very old and decaying. The check in office was always closed, so we checked in on the bar downstairs.
Se didint like waiting for the key for two hours... Especially when we fill the time of our arriving in advance
The location and cleanliness.
The uncomfortable beds. Way too uncomfortable. It is the fourth time I book and all rooms have the beds way too uncomfortable.
Noisy poor dery
We stayed in the two-bedroom unit and enjoyed an excellent view of the harbor. The location is perfect if you don't have a car; close to grocery shopping, restaurants and shuttles to the beaches. The unit is exceptionally clean and contains on the amenities for a perfect stay. The staff were always friendly and helpful.
The town can be loud Easter weekend - but still fun!
