Exceptional,

“ I have never taken the time to write a trip recommendation before but our experience was so good I felt I must. Not only was this superbly located and gorgeously decorated but Devon's orientation of Old San Juan (personalised after we had told her what we like) made the trip. ”

Loved the way the place was decorated - great location and vibe, and not too pricey. It's good to still get value for money. The complimentary breakfast (served in the room!) was a real treat!

I have never taken the time to write a trip recommendation before but our experience was so good I felt I must. Not only was this superbly located and gorgeously decorated but Devon's orientation of Old San Juan (personalised after we had told her what we like) made the trip. The finishing touch was that I mentioned I had broken my kindle as I left and was given a book in my preferred genre to read on the plane. Amazing.

La Terraza was like a home away from home. The apartment was very spacious and had lots of character. We loved sitting out on the roof top terrace for cocktail hour and the breakfast, delivered to our room, was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, eager to offer advice. Joe made us feel like long time friends. The beds were very comfy, the rooms were spotless as was the rest of the hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Our vacation ended. We were sad to leave La Terazza.

The hotel is in the middle of Old San Juan. You can walk everywhere. Breakfast is very good, home made bread, although lacking on some imagination since we stayed there for 5 days. Staff is very nice and helpful. The apartment was not very clean. Problems with the keys.

Great location! Friendly, fun, knowledgeable & helpful hosts. Excellent dailly breakfast included in price: fruit, fresh bread/rolls, meats, cheeses, jams, good coffee (french press). Air conditioned inside. Large Roof top terrace with view of town and harbor. Parking in the area is difficult, but that's city life in SJ.

The suite was outstanding! The architecture and design were traditional with modern amenities. The building was very secure. The rooftop patio had amazing views. We will always stay at this lovely boutique hotel when traveling to Puerto Rico. The service was beyond 5 star as the owner took the time to explain the suites features and surrounding restaurants and attractions. Anything we didn't immediately recall was in the Concierge book or just ask the staff! I found the hotel online so wasn't completely confident it would meet our needs and it was the best accommodation of our extensive vacation.

My only regret about La Terraza in Old San Juan was that we were not able to stay longer! This is a small boutique hotel with 4 rooms. We stayed in the two bedroom appartment which was beautiful and very tastefully done. There is a large kitchen which would be useful for longer stays. The included breakfast was amazing and prepared by the proprietor, a chef for many years. The service was personal and exceptional. The location was perfect for exploring Old Town with easy access on foot to many historical sites and restaurants. I highly recommend La Terraza and would stay there again if I were to return to San Juan. I would have liked a heads up about the total price of our stay after the various taxes were added in. The additional fees were significant.

This is such a beautifully renovated building in the heart of old San Juan. The owner joe is so gracious, friendly and helpful. We had real fast served in our room every morning and our 2room suite was cleaned daily. If you want to stay at a place that is historic, hospitable and super clean that is not a hotel chain, stay here!!

As you can tell I was very pleased as were the three people that I was with. Bet staying in 3 hotel rooms with no place to get together unless you wanted to sit on the beds.

Great Location. Very well equipped and comfortable kitchen and living rooms. Great having 2 bedrooms with private baths. A good breakfast served in your own apartment was an unexpected treat. The owner was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to visit. Having to leave after only 2 nights

Right in downtown San Juan. Place is gorgeous. Lovely Terrace. Sitting area. Whole kitchen. in downtown San juan. Great location to wlk around the area, see the forts, etc. Close to great restaurants. Difficult to get to Old San Juan if you aren't staying there. Downtown San juan has narrow streets and limited parking. Is a garage available about 3 blocks away. leave your stuff at the door and then go park. not too bad.
