Hotel Melia Ponce  

The staff were very professional and nice. The hotel was beautiful. It is located right in the heart of Ponce and was very easy to find. The rooftop breakfast was a wonderful sendoff.

There was some music from the discos nearby (it was Friday night) but that was expected and it wouldn't keep us from staying there again.

Classic, historic hotel with an excellent location on the main square in Ponce. Attended parking was right next to the hotel and inexpensive. This was the stay and experience that we were hoping for.

Love the old grandeur of the architecture and Art Deco vintage furniture. Pool is retro cool!

Small complaint of dirty vents in bathroom.

The staff were very helpful and the bed was very comfortable. The TV had the best selection of channels (English & Spanish) that I've had in P.R. The location is ideal for city visitors.

The entry to my room was awkward since the beside lamp prevented me and the door to both be "open" at the same time.

Beautiful old atmospheric hotel in main square of old town.Has aged with grace and the rooms were very comfortable with good facilities.On site swimming pool and delightful roof garden.An excellent choice.

Breakfast was included but not worth the lift to the fourth floor and we declined the fare on offer.

The staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The location is city- center. Neat stores and restaurants near-by. Appreciated the unlimited coffee. Breakfast is served on the rooftop. Nice. The room is large and quiet. Very comfortable. Really a neat place. The hotel has a European feel.

Wish they would use washable coffee cups and bowls instead of styrofoam. The beggers in the plaza are disturbing. Not the hotel's fault.

Perfect location to explore the city in just one day, nice rooms - big and comfortable, very friendly staff, amazing terrace on the top of the hotel where breakfast is served.

Stylish neo-colonial rooms (on ground floor close to swimming pool), beautifull courtyard inside the hotel and hotel roof for your breakfast, swimming pool, excellent position on the main Ponce square, parking just behind the hotel. Very helpfull staff.

No restaurant available on the spot (at least by end Oct 2012), on weekends may be noisy (especially for those with windows looking over the street).

I have done my share of travelling and stayed in a good number of hotels and I can honestly say that Melia in Ponce is the best-run, most old- school customer-oriented hotel I have ever known, holding itself to a code of professionalism rarely seen these days in any line of business. 5 times now I have been to Ponce and 5 times I have gone with Melia. I would never think of staying anywhere else! Melia's staff is the epitome of class and professionalism, at every level and in all areas. Just as very typical example, on my most recent trip my friend and I were driven to the airport to catch our return flight by the front desk manager (at 2:00 AM, no less) when we were unable to get a taxi. As with everything else, this was done graciously and automatically. I could go on and on all day about this hotel, but suffice it to say I wish more hotels would model themselves on Melia... The world would be a much happier place!

The central location right on the Plaza was superb, handy to shops and restaurants and places of interest within the town, and there is a fantastic ice cream shop that we frequented just below. The hotel was very traditional in its feel, Spanish style, and had a good pool which was great respite from the heat, our 4 teenage boys loved it. We would stay there again given the chance, really lovely spot and great value for money.

The bed in our room had bad roll together, we ended up asking for a rollaway bed for one of us to sleep on so that we didnt have to share, it was too uncomfortable. A good mattress on the bed we had would have seen us give Hotel Melia 5 stars, a shame that aspect let it down.

The price was reasonable and the location was excellent.

we love it. And next year we will stay longer

Besides the charm of a Hotel that has operated for over 100 years, the natural friendliness and courtesy of Ponce residents was evident in the Hotel staff. The "Continental Breakfast" needs fruits, natural cereals and real cups and dishes instead of plastic and paper. I will stay here again.

La atención de parte del personal y lo callado y agradable del patio interior, en especial de el Sr. Efraín.

Los cargos por la mascota. En mi caso un perro de competencia de la Federación Canófila de Puerto Rico. (el año pasado no me los hicieron). y que no me permitieron subir a la terraza con mi perro. Entiendo que la persona que va acompañada de una mascota, perro guía o de competencia a un Hotel donde permiten animales, la aspiración del dueño es compartir el lugar. Dejarlo en la habitación encerrado en jaula no es la idea, ni condenar al huesped a privarse del desayuno en la terraza es justo.

Fui con mi familia por primera vez. Ponce y la experiencia fue muy bonita. Volveriamos en cualquier ocasion. Muchas gracias por todo.

El parking un poco incomodo

Historia

El estacionamiento, los autos muy pegados unos a otros. La Fuente de la Plaza apagada y se que era muy bonita ya la habia visitado y tengo fotos.

Il faut absolument une voiture car il n'y a pas grand chose a faire au centre de ponce!!!!
