Palmetto Guesthouse is set on the beautiful island of Culebra, a designated National Wildlife Refuge. It offers free snorkelling and beach equipment, free Wi-Fi and a free airport and harbour shuttle. Each bright room at the Palmetto Guesthouse offers air conditioning, a fan, a mini-fridge and an alarm clock. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and hot water. Hairdryers are available on request. You can enjoy a light breakfast of pastries and freshly brewed local coffee on the sunny deck. Personal attention, very helpful owners who will do anything to make sure you are having a great time, nice location, Culebra is the greatest, close to everything but far enough away to relax.

The staff was very attentive and very friendly. They offer transportation to/from the Terminal Ferry. There's also some free food in the kitchen. Culebra is BEAUTIFUL. Fell in love with Flamenco beach. Rooms are smaller that they appear in pictures. Ceiling fan had dust falling on the bed. The AC wasn't working. No TV.

Homemade breakfast scones were delicious. Friendly and helpful owners. Use of scuba gear was great! They even suggested where and when to go so that we could (and did) see sea turtles! Easy walk into town. Bed was small for a couple and stiff but I think we knew it was going to be a double bed when we made the reservations - took some getting used to, though. Air conditioning unit works well but we didn't know that the first night because we left the bathroom door open and all the air went out the opened window so we were hot. Make sure you close all the windows and maybe even the bathroom door before using the AC. Water puddle on the floor when we arrived so worried us that the AC was leaking but I think that it was probably left over from washing the floor. Across the street from a youth center that had a loud celebration but it ended around 10-11pm, so we were fine sleeping.

Owners were very friendly. They kindly provide you with pick up and drop off to the airport/ferry. They also have beach chairs for your convenience. The room and overall guesthouse is very clean. Very close to Flamenco Beach, Carlos Jeep Rental, Airport, Supermarket, and restaurants. I definitely recommend Palmetto to anyone staying in Culebra.

Mark and Susan awesome hosts. Our stay felt like home. Loved the resident dogs. Had everything we needed and in a central location to all of the beaches. Plan to come back and stay with them again and go boating with them. Both Mark and Susan a lot of fun to talk to, and their door was always open. Our original plan was to stay 2 nights, but stayed another because we loved it so much. Thankfully, our room was available for another night. Met people from all over the world. Had a great time!

Susan, the owner, made us so comfortable from the moment she picked us up at the airport. The room was just what we needed and they supplied several nice extras. Susan is definitely a friend now and worth visiting again. She went the extra mile in service. Mosquitos but they come with the whole island. Prepare yourself with plenty of bug repellant.

Everything about the guesthouse was great. The owners are friendly and attentive. The house is conveniently located near town as well as a car rental and grocery store. The coffee and scones in the morning were delicious and the beach materials (including chairs, coolers, and snorkeling equipment) were super convenient. Susan, the owner, was a great source of information and help throughout our stay.

the owners were super helpful and kind. the location was great walking distance from the local airport and they provided free transportation to the beach and for people who arrived by ferry. the rooms were clean. it was a bit noisy.....roosters crowing about every few hours starting aroung 3 am. so i didn't get the best night sleep.

Susan at the Palmetto Guesthouse truly went out of her way to make us feel at home. The rooms were comfortable, and she happily offered to drive us into town and loan us snorkel gear for our beach trips. The scones and coffee at breakfast were delicious! My only complaint about our room at The Palmetto is that we stayed in the smallest room, which is priced the same as another slightly larger room. Though not a big deal, I felt like we should have been paying a few dollars less every night.
