Parador Guánica 1929  

We were changed from our room for a broken wire on the tv so no tv, then we were put in another room with limited air condition and no phone had to walk up and down a flight of stairs to speak to anyone at front desk

The relaxed atmosphere, not being locked off in a resort, prices, and style of the building.

The cook ( an unsupervised student from the adjacent hotel school) took frozen chicken, pounded it flat while still frozen, and grilled it. The result was obviously very very tough, stringy and dry--not edible, but the staff served it anyway. We were in the end not charged for the meal, but it was an unpleasant experience. No one took responsibility (instead said they came on duty after it was cooked) or indicated that there would be any change in policies.

Facilities

It is a pleasant old hotel. Nice view from the balcony.

Limited television channels. Although the restaurant staff worked very hard to please, my dinner was inedible. Whatever happened to the fish was unfortunate.

The former hacienda is beautiful. Very clean and romantic destination for budget minded travellers. Nice location on a bay. Ten minutes from ocean beach.

AC in the room was very noisy.

Friendly staff, nice location, restaurant on-site, pool, nice wide verandas.

Nothing.

The location is great for exploring the south coast. The parador is a no frills place to stay and makes a good central base. Staff is nice and the property is well kept.

Rooms are very small and dark with fixed frosted windows so there is no access to natural light and fresh air. Restaurant on location is very mediocre.

Quaint place. Very nice staff and we loved the location away from town. Situated on a bay with a wonderful sunrise view. We would return again on future trip.

Excelent location to visit many places of interest It is located near the place I was born and raise.

The WiFi did not work at the rooms located in the back of the building second floor. Many straight dogs inside the site premisses.

I have stayed at the Parador Guanica 1929 several times thru the years. It's convenient for us reason being that we have family and friends around the area. We just love the beaches on that side of the island. It's very clean and the staff is always very friendly.

The food could be better

To begin with, the hotel did not have a bar. The restaurant does not serve alcohol either. We had to drive several miles to the closest restaurant to have a cold beer. We would have stayed here had we known that there was no alcohol.

Location, clean appeareance, nice treat

Super Staff on the front desk when arriving. The ensenada Bay is gorgeous and the hotel setting is fantastic.

The restaurant staff needs customer service training. The restaurant staff do not resemble the same professional level the front desk personnel has.Overall the food was good however the service needs to improve.

I like the history of the Parador. The staff were very polite and quite helpful. Food at facility was good but the town of Guanica is close and there were other eating establishments at a reasonable price. I was able to take the trip out to Gilligans Island I heard it was a most see.

I thought they kept the room temperature to low Air condition ran constantly. Remote control for air was difficult to understand actually I don't think it worked.

The registration person claimed that when she swiped my credit card for payment there was no paper in the machine and that she voided the charge. She wanted to swipe the card again but I called the credit card co. To verify the void. No void. Then the registration person claimed that she will get an old fashion carbon copy slips for me to sign. That never happened. In fact, the void never went through, they charged me a double deposit on my card, and a week later after returning home, I still had to prove that there was no void. I wonder how many other guests they try this with to get overcharging??

Me gusto mucho el estilo del lugar y la atencion. Se lo recomendaria a cualquiera.

La disponibilidad de una playa dentro de las facilidades del mismo parador aunque hay unas cercanas y excelentes.

Es un lugar especial, historico y muy confortable.

No tengo quejas.

La cama era muy cómoda y los alrededores estaban muy cuidados. En general muy bonito el lugar.

Mi unica queja sería que el restaurante cierra demasiado temprano en mi opinion.

Sehr schönes Haus. Preise fürs Frühstück absolut angebracht. Fahrt zur Insel "Gaya Aurora" ist unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Kein Strand am Haus, Auto erforderlich. Zimmer ist klein.
