Everything was horrible.. The view from the back room, no phones in rooms, thin walls, etc..
Quick response by the staff.
Location Staff Clean
No food or bar service No trash can Limited tv options
Paper thin walls, and plastic mattress cover that crinkled loudly. Not worth the $$$. You're only paying for the location.
Friendly staff. Great location.
It was impossible to regulate the temperature in the room. We froze. The window was screwed shut.
Couldn't adjust t.he air con in our room
It was walking distance to many things
Air didn't work well. Desk clerk blamed it on the sun. There was a small trickle of air in the vent in the center of the ceiling. We moved the couch under it the first night and slept there. The next night we bought a fan and had to leave it there when we left because we had no way to carry it. The 2nd day we were still there when the maid arrived. I told her to come back and we would be leaving soon. She never came back the entire rest of our trip there even though we put the sign on the door. We had to get towels from the front desk each day.
Loved the location and the staff.
The room that had no windows and was fairly dark and depressing.
location was close to old san juan and pier. Held our luggage after checkout that was secure.
no windows in the room.
Liked how close it was to everything
Because of construction work could not be dropped off at the hotel. Not the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. Not possible to change the temperature of the room so either too cold or warm.
Location & value for money
Really well placed Berry friendly staff. Good for the money
Location was great close to all parts of Old San Juan. Forts, restaurants and stores all close.
Dated and needs renovating. Noisy as walls very thin and doors slamming at night. Bed was not comfortable, TV did not work few amenities other than an old room.
Location is great, in the middle of old San Juan.
No air condition in room, only in corridor.
The location was excellent for walking about Old San Juan.
The lack of a functioning elevator was an annoyance, particularly since we were on the top floor. This has apparently not been repaired in more than a year. Although we were told that a complementary breakfast has not been served for several years, it was still listed as an amenity on the placard on the inside of the room door.
Staff was helpful in telling us local places to eat, things to do. Also had a room to store our luggage after checking out and before boarding our ship so we could do some touring. The room was good sized and clean.
We had a front room-it was very noisy. A lot of street noise: cars, music, people walking by. It was warm in the room and we couldn't open the window. Elevator was out of order, so had to walk up five flights of stairs.
no in room phone, no in room clock, elevator didn't work(70's couple walking up 5 flights of stairs), in room TV didn't work, no in room glasses for drinking
very friendly and informative desk staff
Broken elevator, very inconvenient, had to go outside to smoke.
Clean with convenient location. Friendly staff.
It is a vertical structure with a broken elevator. When traveling with heavy bags, this can be difficult. We were put in one of the front rooms and it was loud all night! Extra "bed" is very short and uncomfortable. Prepare for a sleepless night.
Location simplicity and price
Access only by lift as stairs were not too practical with luggage
Ramone.... This man makes this hotel, his knowledge, personality, helpfulness with taking the time to show you where to go and what to see was fantastic. He also was able to help reduce our cost due to airplane issues and arriving a day and a half later
The staff member who greeted us after we missed our first night due to airplane issues. He did not want to have to help us carry our luggage up 5 flights of stairs as the elevator was broken. No elevator was horrible especially since we were on top floor. No access to wi-fi on top level either.
The neighborhood! Lovely outdoor bkfst at Plaza de las Armas, &C. And friendly helpful staff.
No windows in room. A/c didn't work well one night. Elevator works only when staff turns a lever, so it's ok for suitcases, but otherwise you walk up and down yourself.
In the center of Old San Juan
Elevators didn't work. No windows in room and no individual temperature control.
It was located in Old San Juan. There were a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
The elevators didn't work. They had no one to carry the luggage up to our room. The guest had to do it themselves. The television did not get but 4 stations. They did not carry the major networks abc, cbs, nor nbc. The room was too cold and we had to wait for them to adjust the temperature. We could not control it from the room. They promised the elevators would be fixed the next day and they were not.
Great location in old San Juan .
Lack of hot water Elevator not working
