Villa Herencia Hotel  

Villa herencia was a great place, it is small but the staff are great. The location is a plus as it is in a quiet area but not far to walk anywhere. We would stay again

Staff, charm, breakfast, location, decor - we would certainly return

lack of lighting in bathroom and bedroom (there was not enough light to apply makeup)

It was unique. Lovely decor. Boutique style.

There was no hot water

Rooms were spacious, clean, and estheticly pleasing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooftop deck was quiet and relaxing.

The hotel retained its old world charm with upgrades in the bathroom and good air-conditioning. The upstairs terrace was a real bonus, large and confortable. The location could not have been better.My wife and I stayed 4 nights and we want to go back again.

There was absolutely nothing. It was everything as described and better.

A gem of a place. It enhances the old SJ experience.

The location could not have been better - right in the centre of San Juan but very quiet. It was wonderful to have direct access to a terrace. The staff were very helpful.

The breakfast was rather meagre.

We liked the staff. When they are open and friendly it helps you see everything at the hotel in a better light.

Villa Herencia is a charming and unique hotel in a very old, historic building in a great (and very safe) location within Old San Juan! Great mix of history with modern amenities! Easy walking distance to many of the must see sites in Old San Juan including El Morro Fort and the La Princesa as well as many great restaurants!

Because most of the rooms on the main floor open to the main courtyard and the doors are not super tight there is a potential for noise as other guests come and go during the night. Was not a problem for us while we were there and certainly nothing that a set of ear plugs couldn't remedy! H8 and H9 are the rooms on the 2nd story terrace level. We were in H7 which was right off the lobby area. Thought we may have a noise issue from the office area but after 10 pm it was quiet as could be, so no problem there! So, for us, no complaints at all!!

The staff went above and beyond for personal service and making me feel welcome. The Hotel is beautiful, historic, and tastefully decorated and seemed more like a spa then a standard hotel, the location was in a quiet residential street, but just steps from the heart of OSJ.
