We did a 2 day extension after a cruise. The hotel was so welcoming and comfortable. The room was huge with a balcony and king size bed. The television was probably a 45: The bathroom was also very large. Although an older hotel one can see that they have kept up with the cleanliness and the décor. You are only a few steps to the beach where lounge chairs and umbrellas are provided. There were 2 pools one very shallow and the other had a swim up bar. There was a water slide and Jacuzzi, with live music playing for your enjoyment. What more can you ask for.
When it was time to leave. Bravo to you San Juan Marriot Resort and Stellaris Casino!
extremely nice staff (every single staff member is nice and friendly), great location, super clean, super comfortable, awesome beach and fabulous access to beach
Loved the staff, ocean views and private beach!
Pool was a bit crowded.
Front view room was exellent it had a spectacular view.
Location Resort quality
Room smelt bad, required room change; staff and process not efficient but staff were attentative
Staff was friendly and helpful. The beach was nice with plenty of chaises and umbrellas. The room had a nice view and refrigerator. The location is terrific - walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping and a small organic market and café. Old San Juan is easily accessible by bus (but the schedule isn't really reliable) or $20 taxi.
The beach, the pool and our room was wonderful. I also enjoyed the drinks at the Coral Lounge and Pool bar.
Some of the staff was lacking, they didn't have umbrellas when it rained but everyone else seemed to find one. Apparently we were suppose to have one in the room but never got it. They also removed the umbrellas from the beach away when it was slightly windy at high noon! And it was way too hot to be out there without one. You pay a lot of money and I expected more. Also all the food at the hotel was horrible.
Breakfast was amazing.
Resort taxes were a shock. 29% on top of a 215.00 room rate. Food in restaurant was great but expensive.
The staff was very helpful and attentive. The facilities were also great and there location was very convenient since there are many restaurants in walking distance and a CVS/ Walgreens near by.
Great breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Fun casino.
Pools could have been deeper.
The resort was great
everything about it
Our room smelled damp the entire stay. We discovered bugs in the room. They sent someone up and he came with a can of Raid. He sprayed Raid while we were in the room. The fumes were bad. We had to call them a second time and they agreed to move us. They credited $500 for food and moved us to a different room our last night there.
I loved every minute I stayed. From the staff to the pool and beach area. Free drinks at the casino. Food at the hotel available at anytime and the area is quite and had relaxed.
That I had to leave so soon.
Location was perfect. Close to restraunt options and grocery. Staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. Beach staff was the best we experienced.
Drink prices were rediculous. $10.00 for a 10oz beer (local beer) is no way to treat your guests. Making the drinks more affordable (reasonable) would encourage the guests to stay at the resort.
I loved the area! I've been to pr before but the area outside e hotel was dull. Condado was a great area, the Hotel was located right on the strip amongst restaurants, souvenir shops, Starbucks, Wendy's, Baskin Robbins, Dunkin Donuts. It was just the best location ever. We went to this beautiful restaurant called "Oceano" it was two blocks away and we had dinner right on the beach, it was amazing. We ate outside the hotel a lot. There was this "Puerto Rican Food" restaurant, as well as a Chinese/Sushi place all within a two block radius. So, the location was the best. You didn't need a car. The hotel also offered us 2 hours per day for biking. We took advantage of that and went site seeing. The view was ok, we stayed in a King Room with City View. They staff was also helpful, when I needed wine glasses they provided and they also allowed me to put a cake in their kitchen and bought it up when requested.
The number one thing I hated was this surprise room damage fee of $50 per night. We went from getting ready to pay about 1,185 to paying about 1,500. They told us at the time of checking and we were a bit caught off guard because we budgeted for what we needed and we thought that was a bit ridiculous. Instances like this we should be given a heads up. An additional 250 per person and we received it back until 3-4 days after checking out. Another thing I disliked was that the pool/Jacuzzi wasn't 24 hours. It closed at like 11 I believe and a few people wanted to go in after 11 and we were unable to. Paying almost 1,400, we should've been able to do whatever we wanted! They also closed the beach off at a certain time so if you wanted to go after hours you would have to go outside the hotel and enter via the public entrance.
The hotel was within walking distance to resturaunts and it also had on-site resturaunts. I liked the live music they had in the lobby and the staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and helpful. I loved the balcony attached to our room; we enjoyed breakfast at sunrise on it and also had beautiful views of the beach from our room.
staff was great, room service was great (kid menu is cheaper so i ordered from there), room was CLEAN, room service rocked, pool was absolutely wonderful (there's even a bar @ the pool! the banana daiquiri is delicious and not too strong so i recommend that), the beach area was great (wait staff will come to you and you can order food/drinks and have it brought to you at the beach). It's just an all-around amazing hotel and i will definitely come back again. The hotel is great for couples (straight/gay), families, business, and solo vacationers.
The prices are ridiculous. The hotel stay and the restaurants at the hotel are ridiculously overpriced.
It is located by restaurants and a drug store. Room was clean and nice looking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel offered tours of the city.
The elevators had an odor (like dried urine). Limited eating options within the hotel. Pool is not deep.
Traveled during peak season and it didn't feel like it. Pools and beach weren't overcrowded. Excellent hotel
The setting on the beach
All the charges above the room rate.
Location is great on the beach and walk out the front to local shops and restaurants. Having the casino was a plus and the hotel overall was very clean, friendly, and safe.
Guests walking around with bare feet and wearing only bathing suits with no covers. The hotel has a dress code posted all over the property but in five days I never saw one employee enforce it. The problems created from this were smelly, wet elevators, dirty restrooms and wet common spaces like couches and chairs in lounge areas, inside, not just outside. It doesn't ruin the hotel by any means, but definitely brings down the overall nice feeling it should have.
the customer service was excellent. I felt at home
