There is a one-way street in front of the hotel, which can generate car noise (and exhaust) at certain times (possibly especially Saturday night?) so people who require a lot of quiet at night should take a room on the back side (these may all be rooms with double beds not kings) or perhaps a 3rd floor room is quieter.
I thought the hotel was extremely attractively designed, and the value and location were excellent. The staff was very congenial, and the room was very clean, attractive, and comfortable. The hotel was within a 5-10 min walk of 3 very nice beaches; about a half hour walk through lovely parks to Castillo San Cristobal, and from there not far to the rest of Old San Juan and Castilo El Morro. There is a very nice Japanese restaurant right next door, and a mini-market and a 24-hr Subway sandwich shop. Plus it is a short walk over a pretty bridge with separate pedestrian lanes to many restaurants along Condado Beach. The breakfast included toast, cereal, pastries, fruit, coffee and juices. Anyone who needs something more could get yoghurt etc at the mini-market next door.
