The Beach House Hotel  

Right on the beach, seriously. You walk out of your room, past the bar, and you are on the sand, 200 feet from the water. On that beach there are nice cabana/beds and chaise lounges w/ wait-service. Clean, with helpful English speaking, Spanglish tolerant, staff. Free breakfast, nothing special, but there's something kinda great about coffee on the beach in January. Good location: -plenty of food (cheap tacos to upscale), bars ($2.00 beers to ultra-lounges), and essentials (Walgreens, gas station, grocery store) w/in easy walk. -Easy to get to Old San Juan (10 minute drive, traffic is like Boston or Chicago, as bad, but no worse) -easy to get out of the San Juan area. ~45 min. To the rainforest & more remote beaches, 20 to Bacardi.

Smallish room, we had the cheapest/smallest one. Just room for a bed, closet, and bathroom. Not a huge negative for us, given that there was no real reason to hang around in the room. If you're looking for a big/appointed room, though, this is not for you. Some of the other rooms seemed like they might be more spacious, though.

I thought the location was excellent.We stayed there 1 night before our cruise many times will continue on staying there.If you like a beach front hotel this is the place to stay

Very loud music up to 3a.m. Very dirty and small rooms. Everything is broken. Awful hotel.

We loved the view and close proximity to the beach (right on the water with beach beds and chairs). Bathrooms appeared newly renovated so that's a plus as well.

The breakfast is horrible! Worse than any cheap hotel in the states! For the $200/night we paid (around New Years) we expected much more in the morning. Walking to find a decent breakfast was a pain. Also, the bar/wait staff seemed to be ignoring us a majority of the time. They will charge you for your stay the first day, so be aware of that! First time ever, in any country, I was not charged when I checked out.

Luckily I only stayed one night before joining up w/a friend at a much nicer, more modern, cleaner hotel. The room was adequate, but it was in a dark corner, which as a female traveler I didn't feel safe going to.

WHen I arrived I had to wait and wait and wait for the front desk clerk to help me. She was dealing with an unhappy guest when I arrived and there was no one else, apparently, in the entire hotel that could get me checked in while I waited for her to solve the other customer's issue. My room was on a second floor (no elevator) and no one even offered to help bring my luggage up. I just got an indication of the direction I should go. The breakfast spread was lackluster..I Had to heat up water in the microwave for tea. I could go on and on. Also the service fee and taxes added almost $40 to the bill. I use booking.com a lot (I travel a lot) and typically everything is included. The room I stayed in was definitely not worth $200/night.

Staff was friendly.

A lot. This is not a "boutique hotel", it is a run-down motel level place.I Took photos. Shabby, dirty, no facilities other than a small beach- cafe level bar/restaurant. No pool, just the beach. Plastic cups for drinks (if you ask, otherwise just the beer bottle). Slow service. Very bad food. A greasy burger that made two of us ill. The breakfast was laughable (pre-packaged soggy danish pastry, cereal in plastic containers and a few bagels).

Isla Verde Beach is beautiful and the area is good

We booked this hotel over the internet based on the pictures we saw and other booking.com reviews. I tell you what, when we got in the front court/parking lot , I said to my self, omg what did we book. Doesn't look too good fro this end, but one you check in it's a lovely room. Just essentials, but great. Always very clean. Once you get to the beach, you don't wanna leave that hotel. It's the only hotel in the area with beach chairs and beds and has a nightlife on the beach. Very nice and cozy atmosphere, music, fire torches on the beach. Party night Friday and Saturday. There is a dj on site on Sundays. There is a restaurant on the site, but a bit expensive. But you can find other restaurant 1-5 minutes walking. There is actually a decent restaurant right across the street. Overall it's a great experience and I would go back.

Beautiful beach

отель находиться на первой линии пляжа.у нас был включен завтрак, но он достаточно скромный и каждый день повторяеться, но для буфета это нормально, это же не шведский стол. при отеле бар-ресторан на пляже , который на побережье очень известен, играют даже диджеи, цены в принципе приемлемые приемлемые.кормят неплохо.очень понравились зоны отдыха с балдахинами на пляже, красиво и удобно. задумка у отеля по мебели и тд.неплохая, но все очень старое и это видно. за отелем есть магазинчики, кафе, прокат машин. до г.сан хуан далеко.добраться можно только на транспорте. очень красивый и милый городок, улочки, домики цветные. порадовали скидки в брэндовых магазинам, в нью йорке в этих же магазинах не было скидок, так что имейте это ввиду. мой вывод:отель неплохой, но требуеться уже капитальный ремонт.

номера очень скромные и без балкона!!! много водрослей в этой стороне пляжа, лучше море у отеля интерконтиненталь.давно требуеться ремонт.

Todo, las habitaciones en pesimo estado, el personal totalmente apático, desayuno escaso y sin atención de nadie, el wifi publicitado para las hab no funciona.jamas volvería a este hotel

есть хороший пляж. больше у отеля плюсов нет. недалеко от отеля был хороший мексиканский ресторан, который спасал от ужасной еды отеля. школа кайт-серфинга рядом на пляже.

это не отель - а какой то ужас. проживали там 11 ночей - очень пожалели. вместо зоны ресепнш - какой то стол, где не очень трезвая девушка заселила нас. сразу списали деньги с карты за все ночи - именно предоплату - те попросили расписаться на чеке - после этого вернуть их в случае недовольства практически нереально. зашли в номер и ахнули. кровать, по бокам от нее меньше метра - и туалет с душем. 2 больших и 1 маленькое полотенце. места в номерах нет вообще. шкафа тоже нет - хранить вещи будете в чемоданах. где то под потолком висит непонятный тв. окона в номере - это что-то. дырка в стене, закрытая толстыми жалюзями. короче света нет и от шума это вообще не защищает. про шум. в номерах около дороги слышно дорогу - в номерах ближе к бару слышно дискотеку, которую они не стесняются делать до 5 утра, не предупреждая жильцов и не считаясь с ними вообще. менеджмент вообще отсутствует - заказ такси и выдача полотенец для пляжа - все их способности. любые недовольства пытаются решить советом - не нравится уезжайте, но денег не вернем. интернет работает только в номерах рядом с ресепшн, дальше - если повезет. а было что и просто не работал - ресепшн сказал что они не знают что делать и как чинить. скорости нет вообще. пошли менять номер - сказали свободных нет, да и вообще сказали общайтесь с менеджером, который когда нибудь приедет. при попытке отказаться - вернуть деньги отказались. на след день свободных номеров оказалось 4шт. но все такие же убитые и шумные. этот бутик отель предоставляют чудесный бетонный пол и стены, весь грязный, штукатурка обсыпается. горячая вода только по праздникам. завтрак - это вообще нечто. 2 типа сыра, ветчина, клубничный йогурт и хлеб, кофе чай. это все - и это не шутка. плюс подают все это с 8-30 до 10-00. ресторан не смотря на высокие цены в основном готовит ужасно - даже бургер сделали так, что мы не стали его есть. все лежаки на пляже закреплены цепью - повернуть под солнце - нереально.

Su ubicacion es excelente,el buen gusto en la decoracion,la terraza y la comida muy deliciosa.El personal muy amable y servicial.Perfecto para relajarse.

Noisy Dirty Unfriendly

Fantastico! Il primo impatto e' sensazionale, sopratutto se si arriva al tramonto, l hotel e' uno dei posti più suggestivi nei quali ho dormito. Struttura sulla spiaggia in leggero stile art deco', con annesso lounge bar e ristorante in spiaggia, attrezzatura gratuiti per gli ospiti (divani, sdrai..). Wifi gratuito anche in camera, certo nn puntano sul lusso, ma consigliato al 100% se si vuole essere a dieci minuti dal centro (in taxi) ma svegliarsi al mare. Il proprietario e' un simpaticissimo brasiliano Ricardo che parla tutte le lingue e riesce a consigliarti sulle destinazioni dandoti la sensazione di essere a casa! ..Nn vedo l ora di riandarci!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was also pretty good at the hotel and location was great.

A bit too pricy. The rooms are very small, no telephone in room, few towels provided.

The beach

Noise, the mattress needs to be replaced, Plastic in the windows. No furniture or hairdryer, no stopper for sink and no housekeeping service, no phone.

Realmente ,no me gusto el hotel,es una pena que con la bella ubicacion que tiene,el servicio,desde el personal que te recive hasta el servicio de habitacion,haya sido tan pesimo.

El personal,del frontdesck,deverian darle major entrenamiento,ya que el trato no es el major con el cliente,no tienen calma para tartar con el cliente,mas estan muy desorientados de como se trabaja el convinacion con las companies de booking,por ejemplo a mi me quisieron cobrar dos veces 140 pesos,aun mostrandole la confirmacion de pago y todas la informacion de que yo habia realizado el pago,aun asi,me hicieron salirme de la facilidad,yo que no conozco esta ciudad,siendo mi primera vez aqui y estando expuesto al peligro de cualquier cosa,el que estaba de supervisor salio corriendo y me pidio que era un error de la muchacha del frondeck,que por favor pasar que me iva a dar un cuarto,que solo necesitaban la informacion de la targeta con que se hizo la compra y para colmo,cuando me levanto,la habitacion estaba inundada de agua,realmente mi experiencia en este hotel,fuje muy mala.
