Bab es Shams resort is like a little palace - you feel this is a place you can really relax and the staff were very attentive. The pool is amazing, and the food was excellent. It was so quiet and the bird life was lovely. The room was good with great air conditioning, very welcome in 40 degrees of heat. It was not difficult to find in Jericho - just go through the main entry off highway 90 and turn left where there is the sign, then left again. It is really great that there is this facility in Jericho and I recommend it to everyone. Insurance issues for hired cars might deter people but it is only a short drive to the hotel off the highway and really should not be a serious problem. It was a real delight to be there and to watch the sunrise and sunset from such an oasis. Visits to the ancient sites and Dead Sea are a must, and people in Jericho as a whole were very nice to us. Jericho as a town is in real need of an economic boost, but it is laid back and has a really authentic Palestinian atmosphere. A great visit.

We needed another couple of cups in our room, but actually we should have asked and I am sure they would have been supplied.
