Location was excellent - right next to Manger Square
We will never stay at this hotel again. It was freezing cold. Plus, the staff were highly incompetent and SLOW to check us in. Basics not included such as heating or toilet paper.
- Good location: 5 min walk from Nativity Church
-There were no windows in the room. -The furniture was two run-down beds and an old closet. - The room was freezing cold and extremely humid. - The linen was wet from humidity. I have never felt so cold at night despite 4 layers of clothing. -The toilet facilities were dirty. -The shower was in very bad conditions. The shower head was not installed. There was a trash can sitting in the shower. It was disgusting. -The price for this horrible room was exorbitant. -This is what it must have felt for Mary and Joseph that night... My advice: Do not enter this Hotel! Even if it is Christmas night and there is no other bed in town: Sleep outside (it is warner, less humid and cheaper!)
Its location is ideal
No AC in the chilling weather, provided a table top electrical heater. The power goes off if the table-top heater and water heater are turned on together. If the same happen in other room, you have to suffer the same.
Room was very cold without adequate blankets. Electrical outage was also frequent.
Simple, easy to get to and location for Bethlehem was excellent.
dirty running water issues be aware of the travel guide
Had one night in Betlhelem, and this hotel was in the perfect location - right by Manger Square - for a great price. Hotel is basic but seemed clean and well managed. Moreover, the manager is a genuinely hospitable guy, who loves to chat to his guests over tea. We had a long evening discussion about the Palestinian situation, in the week the peace talks were yet again put on hold. If you need any help exploring the rest of the West Bank, I think he would be the one to talk to, as he is very keen for travellers to see Palestine and meet its people.
Room was fine, but without outside window - thought this probably made it quieter than many hotels where we were woken by the mosques.
Location of the hotel, close to the center of Bethlehem
The receptionist is trying to enter your room during day and night. The bathroom was very dirty. No hot water. Very noisy room
Very very close from the Nativity Church Good place for backpackers
Though the staff was not here early in the morning
Very friendly and personable staff. I felt like I was friends with all of them by the time I left
Nice cozy room.
No hot water, dirty hairy bathroom.
not clean at all and very uncomfortable
Great loaction, cheap, good sized rooms
The shower didnt work and was pretty dirty.
Location is good. Very good value for money
I was there during a very quiet period so reception wasn't always open.
very good historic location with very nice and helpful stuff
The owner always wants to help you, offers you a drink when your sitting in the lobby, ... The location is perfect. Nice basic room.
It was very cold, even with the little heater I got. There is some confusion about VAT. Is it included or not? WIFI online in lobby, not in the rooms.
To leave the place
First of all, on checking in the receptionist tried to swindle an extra 12% in so called V.A.T. on top of the price booked at booking.com On the threat of contacting booking.com the V.A.T addittion quickly dissapeared again, with the argument "no problem". Receiving a receipt was somewhat of a challlenge too, on asking him 5 times and several excuses we finally managed to get one. With the nighttime temperature dropping to between 1-5 degrees the room had the temperature of a cold fridge. We did get a small heater, but this was far from enough to remotely heat the room, so we barely slept that night. At 85 dollars per night this was a rip off.
Location close to the Manger Sq.
Extremely cold, no heating at all and no hot water either. It was not clean too.
unreal.very cold! owner do not say truth about price.it is no good.
This hotel is located conveniently at the centre of Bethlehem. The owner is very friendly and helped us plan our trip and stay comfortable in our room.
We stayed here in december and the hotel was very cold. Although we had a heater and the shower was good and warm, the room stayed very cold. I don't think this is different in other hotels in the area so if you come here in wintertime bring warm clothes!
