Not a problem for me, but travelers with mobility issues should be aware that this is a relatively small hotel spread over 3 floors with no lift/elevator, and that it is midway up a fairly steep hill in a cobbled, pedestrianised area.
I loved my stay at Aguamel. It's perfectly located in the centre of the old town, within an easy walk of the city palace, handcrafts shops, sculpture walk and railway station. I felt welcome as soon as I arrived, the charming hostess put me totally at ease and the staff were warm and friendly, but not overbearing. The daily afternoon tea (home made cake and a selection of teas) was a lovely bonus, and the daily breakfast spread was great, too. I loved my attic room and the convenience of having a wide selection of restaurants and bars within a couple of minutes walk. I would highly recommend Aguamel.
