the location, the bed, the facility
the restaurant was too expensive
I liked the attitude of the staff to any request we had, and even our request for an extension of our stay. Which we were not able to extend, but this was down to the airlines not the Hotel.
There was nothing I didn`t like about this hotel.
Attentive staff, comfortable rooms and good restaurant both for breakfast and dinner. Great location in Cascais.
Best bar location.
Got extra cover charged over 9 euro added to dinner bill. They said it was for bread (not ordered but small basket supplied) and that all the hotels did it. Ours didn't in Lisbon nor did our restaurant in Cascais. Noise from street facing rooms to be expected. Nowhere to sit and enjoy own food and wine.
Excellent location, easy walk to the marina, shops, bars and lots of restaurants. Lovely sea view room with balcony.
We thought it was a bit pricey.
Great location and staff was very responsive and attentive....
Hotel could use a bit of updating...
excellent Menu and wine list sheets changed every day staff were wonderful
Great location - everything near but in quiet area. Superb staff, reception dining and housekeeping. Great bed and bedroom - superior room with view and balcony a must. Outstanding breakfast.
Not suitable for children.
Service, cleanliness, and location were definitely 5 star.
Bed was too firm. Carpets need updating.
Pipe and cigar smokers on the terrace!
Before anything else, great service spirit and hospitality by every staff of the hotel. Good location from Cascais train station, and to the town center within a few minutes on foot. Wonderful ocean view from the balcony of our room, also breakfast table on the terrace. A few steps to the beach in addition to the hotel swimming pool. Seafood everywhere in town. Absolute satisfaction.
The view, the location, and the quality of the staff.
The gin and tonics. Good choice, knowledgable bar staff. Posh but not in the least bit pretentious we loved it. Its position is pretty amazing too.
Nothing it's all good
The location was perfect, the staff were very helpful and friendly
The Albatroz was an excellent place to stay.
some rooms,they are absolutely different
View, right by sea, breakfast choices were abundant
bar menu limited
This was a return visit to this hotel where we had our honey moon, quite a few years ago. The standard of the hotel has definitely declined and we were disappointed by the difference in the change since our last visit. The location and sun terrace were the only things that were still nice, but the sun loungers and parasols were cheap and kept blowing over in the wind. The room we eventually got was ok but we had to pay a lot more than the rate we booked for through booking.com so they clearly give the substandard rooms to those who book through a booking agency. Definitely not a 5 star hotel, barely a 3 star....! Disappointing trip!
The first room they gave us was small, dark and pokey with one very small high up window and barely enough room to walk around the bed. We complained about the size and standard of the room and the staff were not very pleasant or helpful. We were told if we wanted a different room we had to pay more, we were shown two more and accepted the second one which was much better standard, with a balcony that over looked the pool and we had to pay one hundred euros extra for each night that we stayed for this room! They completely ignored the fact that we were returning for an anniversary visit, no complimentary fruit or wine. It was very sad
The view, the rooms, the food, the staff, the location.
Great breakfast. Wonderful room and was very kid friendly. Staff were attentive. Beach next door very clean.
No complaints! Would just like to have stayed longer!
Close to station.
Cramped shower in room 209.
2 mins from train station. good view of the sea from the room. Beautiful bird singing in the morning. nice breakfast and view in restaurant.
bit pricey rooms even though it was low / off season. Dinner menu price is quite high.
An absolutely wonderful hotel of grand hotel standing with perfect services. An excperience that leaves nothing to be desired!
