I liked the room which was spacious and nicely decorated, with a well equipped bathroom and a great view of the village.. I liked the fact that it is family -owned with friendly receptionist who is one of the owners. We had our evening meal there and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was good too, with proper coffee and lovely home made jam and local honey. I have no complaints about the hotel. The only problem which wasn't to do with the hotel, was some dogs barking in the distance inthe middle of the night which kept me awake-take earplugs!

The staff member that greeted me was open, provided good information on the town and surrounding area, and the hotel was well-situated for exploring th Serra de Estrela. The room was clean and had all that I needed for a good night's sleep. The buffet breakfast was fine.

Excellent value for the price. Good breakfast by average Portugal standards. Able to accommodate special dietary requirements, even if they still couldn't seem to get past the idea that the vegetables are just the stuff the pig (pork) eats! The proprietor's sense of humour made me feel... uncomfortable? Perhaps it was the language barrier as I don't speak Portuguese. This was minor at most; stay at this hotel if you want to be in the heart of the Serra Estrella mountains!

Everything! From the friendly welcome when we arrived.....the comfortable bed....the excellent food and generous helpings.....the inexpensive but good quality wine list.....and, perhaps best of al, the general ambience of this beautiful location. Having to leave after only 2 nights to return to work!

The location of the hotel is superb. Sorry to say this hotel did not match up to its previous reviews. The restaurant was closed both nights we were there. Breakfast was extremely basic. The staff (young gentlemen) did their job, but were certainly not very forthcoming.

Fabuleux ! Très bons repas (je vous recommande la spécialité "Feijoca", c'est délicieux !), petit-déjeuner simple mais savoureux, personnel très agréable et fort sympathique, chambres agréables, piscine extérieure. L'hôtel est bien placé et bien équipé. Si je reviens un jour na Serra da Estrela, c'est à nouveau dans cet hôtel que je séjournerai.
