Hotel Berne  

This hotel ios absolutely fantastic. Owned and run by a family, all memberrs are very helpful, and the two sons are completely fluent in English. The food is also fantastic as well. The room had a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. We visited the 'glaciwer valley, and Torre, the highest point in mainland Portugal. Even in April, people were skiing up there.

Not a real complaint, but had I not had a gps unit, I would have had a difficult time finding it, despite the fact that there are several big blue signs directing you to the hotel. Once we found the hotel and then re-read the signs they were helpful. But when we first arrived, we had difficulty trying to figure out where they were directing us to go.

I liked the room which was spacious and nicely decorated, with a well equipped bathroom and a great view of the village.. I liked the fact that it is family -owned with friendly receptionist who is one of the owners. We had our evening meal there and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was good too, with proper coffee and lovely home made jam and local honey.

I have no complaints about the hotel. The only problem which wasn't to do with the hotel, was some dogs barking in the distance inthe middle of the night which kept me awake-take earplugs!

The staff member that greeted me was open, provided good information on the town and surrounding area, and the hotel was well-situated for exploring th Serra de Estrela. The room was clean and had all that I needed for a good night's sleep. The buffet breakfast was fine.

The location of the hotel is superb.

Sorry to say this hotel did not match up to its previous reviews. The restaurant was closed both nights we were there. Breakfast was extremely basic. The staff (young gentlemen) did their job, but were certainly not very forthcoming.

Excelente localização, e vista dos quartos. Bom atendimento e eficácia por parte da gerência e restantes colaboradores. O restaurante é outro ponto forte, qualidade indiscutível. Em suma muito mais do que seria de esperar num Hotel de 2 Estrelas. Uma experiência certamente a repetir!

Gostei da simpatia por parte dos funcionários,organização,disponibilidade. Os quartos de hotel e todas as outras instalações impecavelmente limpos. Assim que me fôr possível repetirei a experiência. Renato Valente

O atendimento no hotel foi excelente. Os proprietários que realizam o atendimento e orientam os locais para os passeios. A estadia no Hotel Berne superou as minhas expectativas. Recomendo-o para outras pessoas.

O Hotel Berne é um pequeno Hotel onde se encontram Funcionários que sabem como tornar uma estadia, embora curta, mt agradavel. De manhã adormecemos. Foi com satisfação que vimos entrar um bom pequeno almoço pelo quarto dentro, pensei q não tinham room-service mas amavelmente lá estava ele! Quero salientar 2 coisas q acho importantes: 1º > Terem a noção de que as lareiras, uma na sala de estar outra no restaurante, são para estar acesas e não para decorar! Ambiente quentinho que proporciona um bom relaxamento. 2º > a qualidade do Restaurante é ótima. Bom cabrito de churrasco, ótima morcela grelhada, bom pão, etc etc... à noite, o ambiente tornou-se agradavel na sala de estar e de jogos, quase parecia uma casa particular mt animada, gente de todas as idades e sem ser barulhento. Experiência a repetir! Obrigada aos responsaveis pelo Hotel Berne.

Foi uma estadia muito agradavel . Funcionarios simpaticos. Pude alugar no hotel o equipamento de snowboard que precisava e não tive que perder tempo a alugar na estancia da Torre. Voltarei.

Calmo e ambiente muito agradável para este tipo de hotel.
