Hotel Bracara Augusta  

The location was ideal and the staff were friendly and helpful. The dining room was delightful and the music was unobtrustive.

The only very minor things wrong with our accommodation--and they were really minor compared to all the good things--were that the mattresses were too hard and that it was difficult to shift the water from the tap to the shower. (I had to hit the valve with the shower head. A hammer would have been useful.) Otherwise, it was a wonderful, faultless hotel!

Great Location, friendly staff, the evening meal we had in the hotel is amazing, you don't need to go to go anywhere else.

We were put in to a twin room, it was our anniversary weekend so I asked reception to change the room for a double and they did with no problem.

Very friendly staff with a very good restaurant. Ideally placed for the old historic centre of Braga with good links to the nearby and very beautiful Geres National park.

The electrical box in the room was father noisy. That said it seemed that the staff were unaware of the problem and were concerned so I would imagine it was fixed that very day.

Grrrrreat hotel. Everything was superb. Staff, rooms and especially the breakfast.

Behind and old looking wall you can find an excellent and well kept hotel with comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant provides nice food at reasonable prices and excellent wine. Breakfast is good and with a reasonable choice. The hotel is well situated in town center and is very well kept. Really value for money.

Perfect location in the inner city of Braga. Very clean, comfortable rooms with classical decoration. Although the hotel is centrally located, our room was quiet as it is a pedestrian area. Breakfast is served in a very nice old part of the building or on the terrace to the backyard with small garden. Choice and quality were good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Internet available free of charge.

4 parking places available for free opposite the hotel. Otherwise parking nearby in a parking center which is free of charge during the night for hotel guests - so you only have to pay for the day. As we did not stay a lot during the day, this was perfectly ok for us.

The location and the friendliness of the staff were outstanding.The breakfast was very good.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent, within walking distance of some of the best the city has to offer (imho: Café Vianna, Brasileira, the sé de Braga, Reitoria, Porta Nova and restaurants nearby...).

Bar is small and not very confortable. But my main criticism is that if you arrive late at the hotel door you have to phone security so they let you in (a minor inconvenience if you have a working mobile with you, but...). Surely fitting a doorbell or some sort of signaler that does not disturb the other guests should not be too difficult.

A perfect place to stay. Wonderful food, fantastic value, centre of town, quiet, ideal small hotel. Welcoming staff throughout. Overnight parking across the road paid by the hotel. Have a great time.

Hotel muy bien situado, con un diseño muy actual, el comedor precioso y las habitaciones bastante confortables, falla el baño, pues la habitación en la que estuve no tiene bañera, sino un ducha con cortina, la cual resulta bastante incomoda. Por lo demás todo muy bien.

Falta orientação para chegar de carro na porta do hotel. A rua fica fechada e precisa ir a pé até lá para liberar a passagem.

Hotel Bracara Augusta está convenientemente situado no centro de Braga. Tem um ótimo restaurante e oferece um bom café da manhã. é um hotel com muito conforto e com excelente atendimento.

Mudaria a posição da escrivaninha que atrapalha a circulação e a tv tem uma tela muito pequena.
