Hotel El-Rei Dom Manuel  

Everything was very comfortable, price of room reasonable although dinner rather expensive, breakfast good. Unfortunately our room had only one window, which looked out onto a blank wall, this in a hotel which is in the village which claims to be the highest in Portugal and has beautiful views through 360º.

the room was superb the location ws stunning, the staff were very friendly and helpful, a tyruley magical stay, thank you so much.

Nothing special except location.

Small hotel with limited service

Excellent breakfast, kind stuff, romantic nice room, parking, internet, beautiful place, in the end we got reduce of price for cash payment. Some rooms are not situated too good, some are without windows, inform in advance, view is beautiful, but you have to pay more for that. Stay there more than one night.

It seemed that it had recently been refurbished and was to a high standard. The view from the bedroom window was magnificent. The village and castle were magical.

You need strong legs for the hills that need to be negotiated.

The hotel is in a stunning location with amazing views over the valley,the staff were especially helpful and friendly especially the young waiter who served us our evening meal on the first night and also took our bags to our room when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised with the meal we had at the restaurant as we rarely eat in our hotels for fear of being disappointed, but our meal was delicious and very reasonably priced and the service was excellent. The hotel is also immaculate throughout.

The only negative, and it is more of a suggestion that a complaint was that the scrambled egg and bacon at breakfast was not hot..it was only just warm and became cold very quickly, the containers didn't seem to reserve any heat,a small thing but easy to remedy I'm sure.

Great location, extremely friendly staff. Good food, and a veiw that cannot be beat! Loved the village, the castle and the people.

The restaraunt opened too late in the evening. After traveling and hiking we were starving by the time it opened at 7:30.

The hotel staff was great and the location was ideal for our needs.

Marvao is a "must see" highlight in Portugal and one could'n''t find a better place to stay than this excellent family owned and run hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped and the views from the out facing rooms are quite spectacular.

Encantadores a nuestra llegada. Nos cambiaron de habitación a una con vistas sin coste alguno por haber reservado cuatro noches y pedido cama doble, detalle que agradecimos. La habitación y el hotel en su conjunto, inmaculados, las zonas comunes muy gratas. Muy silencioso. El restaurante, en el que recibes un trato muy personalizado, agradable y la comida es la tradicional portuguesa. Si buscas bullicio y marcha no es tu hotel.

Foi nossa segunda estadia neste hotel. Como da primeira vez, gostamos de tudo - ótima comida, excelentes acomodações e em um lugar privilegiado. Os proprietários são muito atenciosos, o que torna a acolhida ainda melhor. Recomendo!

Bien situado en la zona elegida. . Nuevo y cómodo. Tranquilidad.

Localisation intéressante. Facilité de parking.
