The staff was great: very friendly and generally attentive when they were around. Design quite nice and modern, views are fantastic! Quite quiet and relaxing location. Quite good breakfasts! They give you eggs and bacon and fantastic fruits.

For the price, and for 4 stars, we had a lot of issues we shouldn't have had. Ants: Our bathroom suddenly had a disturbing ant infestation behind the toilet and across the entire floor. Granted, we had a small dog with us and it's possible she left pieces of dog food around that attracted these, but this does not explain the colony behind the toilet. I went to ask for an insecticide but I could not locate any of the hotel staff. I waited 15 minutes in reception, then returned to my room to call. The room phone did not work! So, I returned downstairs, waited another 15 minutes, knocking on doors where I thought I heard voices (there was no indication of what to do in this case, no bell to ring, etc). After one more round of this I found someone. When I did, to her credit, she was very helpful. Beach: they tell you it's a "private beach" but its on a river and the water does not look or smell very appetizing. There is a huge concrete pipe right at the entryway to the beach. It is not a beach you want to spend much time on. Mold: the design of the room was fantastic, and must have been new not too long ago, but our room had a good deal of mold and peeling wallpaper. It was enough to smell and be unpleasant. Wifi: the hotel claims in the room manual that you have free wifi everywhere, but we only had it downstairs in the common areas. Tv/dvd: We had a great plasma tv but there were only 7 stations. They allow you to rent dvds for 1 Euro (the very kind staff did not make us pay), but the dvd machine did not work, either. Phone: as mentioned, did not work, despite plugging and unplugging. I saw later that there was a .40 Euro charge per call, which seems a bit much when you are paying 75 Euros a night...if you can get it to work. When you shut out all the whitenoise of the problems mentioned above, the hotel SEEMED nice. Again, the views were lovely. But it is simply very overpriced for what you end up getting.

A well appointed small boutique type hotel, decor was very good abiance relaxing. Loved walk to beach did not use pool but looked inviting. Very uncommercial a great spot to relax and unwind. Great location to stay if you wish to get off the beaten track but want the facilities of a resort 5 kms away. Great spot to stay if you wish to play golf at Troia.

The riverside beach entrance is located right next to a sewer. Some of the facilities need to be repaired. There is a charge of 2Euros per night for use of the room safe.

Very good location, quiet place, nice view and pretty close to the beach (despite the quality of the beach isn´t the best, you have much better beaches nearby like Praia do Pego or Comporta). The room was really cosy, nice balcony with river view, super quiet and also with a lot of space (including the bathroom). The swimming pool area is very nice.

As I read in a lot of comments here - and I confirm - the breakfast isn´t very complete.. But for me it worked. I had some problems with the Tv, wasn´t able to work with the box and i´ve heard other guests complaning of that as well - for 2 days I only got acess to the 4 portuguese channels.

There attention to detail,it is so attractive the minute you walk in,with stylish furniture collected on the owners travels. Lovely position overlooking the river and pool,so peaceful. Owners and staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast very good eaten at such nicely set tables.Great effort put into it with home made preserves and cakes,also cheese,ham, smoked sausage,yoghurt,cereal,fresh fruit,coffee,and as if that was not enough you could have scrambled egg and bacon. If you are in need of a quiet rest you could not do better! It just has a style all of its own.

O hotel nao tem especificaçoes para ser um 4 estrelas, a piscina suja, as cadeiras de sol quebradas e sem manutencao, o cafe da manha mediocre, sem opcoes, as refeicoes, por vezes temos que esperar algumas horas para que seja descongelada, por exemplo a picanha que pedi, acabei por nao comer. Na chegada sem agua e com a porta da varanda do quarto quebrada. Longe de tudo, no site dizia 800m da praia do oceano, mentira. Ou voce vai de carro ou fica apenas na parte do rio, que por sua vez é muito sujo. As pessoas, embora amaveis e atenciosas nao podem fazer nada porque a estrutura do hotel ( que na minha opniao é um pousada e nao um hotel) nao permite, nao existe linha telefonica nos quartos, ou seja, se vc precisa receber ou fazer ligaçoes, impossivel, o telefone funciona apenas para comunicaçao interna. So falam 1 idioma, o portugues, vi muitas pessoas com dificuldades em comunicaçao.

Um hotel que nos convida ao descanso. Adorei o Shiatsu, um grande momento de energia. Funcionários sempre prontos para nos proporcionar uma boa estadia. Banheira de hidromassagem na casa-de-banho. Pequeno almoço muito bom.

Receção/check-in - além de me ligarem por volta das 20.00h a perguntarem se eu ia, quando cheguei a porta estava fechada, com a indicação de um nº de telemóvel para ligar. Este hotel no booking tem indicação de spa, mas a verdade é que não tem. No próprio site do hotel, também faz referência ao spa, mas não existe nenhum spa. Eu escolhi este hotel devido ao spa, depois senti-me enganado. O pequeno almoço, para um hotel de 4 estrelas é muito fraquinho, a fruta tinha mau aspeto e quase não existia e os bolos não prestavam, eram tipo industrial.

La chambre situé dans les combles. Pas de télé. En panne. La directrice, trés arrogante. Repas mediocre, ça sent l'arnaque à tous les points de vue. Pas de facture, encore haujourd'hui , nous l'attendons au courrier , comme promis. Il y a rien d'un 4 étoiles. Il faut l'enlever de vos listes. Depuis que j'utilise bookings, c'est la premiere fois que cela m'arrive. Je demande que soit publié mon commentaire. Merci

Localização excelente e vistas do estuário do rio sado. É um local muito tranquilo que convida ao descanso. A decoração é suave e marcante.

Serviço excelente, ambiente familiar com pessoal extremamente simpático. Refeições no restaurante a preços muito razoaveis comparativamente com os praticados na zona. Comida muito bem apresentada assim como o pequeno-almoço. Muitas facilidades assim como o pormenor da banheira de hidromassagem na casa de banho, muito relaxante para quem está em trabalho. Relação preço / qualidade muito acima da média Recomendo
