All staff especially in reception were friendly, responsive and helpful. Breakfasts were very enjoyable. Proximity of shops, restaurants, buses and trains, beaches, sailing excursions etc.was apreciated. The general atmosphere when brqwsing around Lagos. Lack of drawer space sometimes incnvenient but not seriousely, |

Staff very pleasant and helpful. Rooms spotlessly clean. Location excellent for both Marina and town centre. Marina view which we had was great, the better side we believed. Breakfast was full continental with hot eggs (either scrambled or fried or boiled) and sausages or bacon. Car Park had locals asking for money in return for watching your car, this can be avoided if you park on main road but check signs. |

Excellent, spotlessly clean hotel with comfortable rooms. Good breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff, Nice roof terrace area for sun bathing, Rooms at back can be noisy and smell of fumes from bus station, but once doors shut then noise is minimum. |

The roof top pool and deck, while not large, was a nice touch. Reception staff were fantastic too. Overall, I thought the hotel was great value and well located, with comfortable though not flashy fittings. The only downside is that it's on the main road through Lagos - the balcony doors could do with double glazing. If you are a light sleeper perhaps take ear plugs. |

Very clean, comfortable room. "Marina view" appeared to be "the road before marina as well" but it wasn't too noisy and I could sleep with the open balcony door |

We recently spent 8 days in various cities in Spain and Portugal. The Marina Rio hotel was absoluetly our best experience at a hotel. What a pleasure to stay at a modern hotel with so many amenities and a staff that spoke English, offered advice on upcoming travel, even had free WIFI. None of our other Hotels came close to this hotel and I was going to compliment them after we arrived home. |

Good location, well priced. Liked having a small fridge and kettle in the room. Also one step away from the bus station. Maids went in despite the "do not disturb" sign. Also, 3 euros per day for a safe is not acceptable. This should be free. |

The staff were very efficient and helpful. The hotel was very Portuguese, which we like. It was also very clean and well looked after. It's location was superb for what we had gone to Portugal for. We had worried about noise as I had a "bus station view" room but there was not a lot and a lot less that one would hear in a hotel in, say, London or New York. The lobby was a little dated looking but nothing major I could speak about. Parking was a bit haphazard. The "city" that this hotel is in has quite a bit of free parking near the hotel but on site parking was not available at the hotel despite there being plenty of land. |
