Large room with view, old building (renewed), close to all the attractions. the bell (read other feedbacks) is really awful, but we couldn't hear it from the room. When we checked out there was not a problem to leave a car at the hotel parking for some more hours while we went to see the city. the bell :) |

My wife being slightly disabled, the staff could not have been more helpful. I emailed in advance and they arranged car parking for me and as my wife has difficulty with stairs, they personally arranged for us to get in and out of the hotel via a back door. Room was lovely and clean and cool. Breakfast was also good. We were delighted with our choice of hotel. |

A nice, old building, good location with regards to the center of Evora. The breakfast was not home-made, and it was impossible for them to make eggs and bacon even if we offered to pay extra. The doorbell rang loudly twice every time a person entered or exited the front door, quite annoying. For people with difficulties in wlking steps this is not the hotel for them. |

Breakfast was OK. Location was excellent. Mattress was very hard and too small for two people, room was also very small. We had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Parking was an additional expense, but the staff helped us locate a parking spot. Also, we regretted staying one night in this town instead of merely visiting it for a few hours. |

This is a delightful and traditional hotel with a great deal of charm. The staff were helpful and friendly. We would recomend it . The automatic device to warn staff that guests had entered or left the hotel could drive one potty as it went of very frequently. It is a good idea for getting attention but the ' ring tone' could be perhaps more subtle. |

The hotel is in an excellent location in a 16th century building. I liked the fact that the breakfast room was charming with a lovely view, and there was a living room and den where one can take tea. I was disappointed with the staff who seem "burnt out" and didn't appear engaged with their clients. Also, there's an annoying bell that rings loudly every time someone comes in or goes out and it would be better if there were a way to alert the staff without having guests have to hear it. |

Lovely old building furnished with local and antique furniture, simple but comfortable bedrooms, friendly staff, and good breakfast. Good value for money place to stay, in a great position, in a lovely city. |

We really enjoyed this hotel. The decor had personality. The staff was extremely friendly and recommended places to eat in town. The view of the monastery from the room was great. Parking was easy. The town is super quiet at night, but that is what we wanted - an easy place from which to explore the area. |

The hotel was charming - it is an old converted house and which has a lot of character. The hotel is in a good location within walking distance to the city center. Rooms were clean and the hotel staff was helpful. Breakfast was standard for Portugal - breads, meats, cheeses, cereal and yogurt. The hotel did not take credit cards as indicated - the machine was broken and we got the feeling it had been out of order for a while. No elevator which is not a problem unless you are carrying heavy suitcases! |

Central position in Evora. Quaint, unusual, very different to a modern hotel, historic, excellent service. Full of nooks and crannies. Restfull. Easy parking and excellent driving directions to the hotel. No restaurant, yet one could easily be provided on site. |

The location is ideal for touring Evora on foot; guest parking is available on the street directly in front of the hotel, for a small charge. The hotel is lovely with lots of charm. I particularly liked the antiques, old paintings, etc., which made you feel as though you were still staying in someone's home. |

It's like going back in time - even if you did not leave 100 years ago, you can imagine how it was! It's really a magic place for that, so if you like 'the old', this is the perfect place. Don't expect to have the same confort as a 4-star hotel, but all the charming features compensate for that. |

This is a family run hotel, so we met the family. Manuel is the proud and elegant proprietor of the hotel which is the manor house of a large cork tree farm. The setting is beautiful, and the rooms are all large and interesting. It was a memorable experience to stay in such a lovely old house. |
