Absolutely wonderful. Great location, free parking, fabulous accommodations, friendly staff and delicious, hearty breakfast. And Evora is a very interesting, fun city to visit. |

This hotel is wonderful! It exudes welcome, comfort and charm - a historical building with tastefully blended modern touches. What really stood out for me was the genuine friendliness of the staff, their helpfulness and interest in the enjoyment of our stay in the city of Évora and the Alentejo region. Breakfast was superb with lots of tasty locally produced foods and after a day of exploring the city it was lovely to relax on the terrace with a glass of wine in the evening. I liked everything about the hotel. |

The hotel was very charming and the staf very welcoming and friendly. Small hotel. The town of Evora was fascinating. The hotel is walking distance to everything and is also in the wine country. |

The staff was warm and welcoming. The room was lovely and the breakfast had mostly local and organic foods. Every effort was made to interact and personally chat with each guest. The most amazing incident, however, was they personally transported some left luggage all the way to our hotel at the Lisbon airport (almost an hour away)!! We we so appreciative and greatful. I would reccomend this place to anyone coming to this area. A real pleasure and highlight of our trip to Portugal. |

The friendly, charming & efficient staff and owners made this a most enjoyable stay. The beautifully laid out buffet breakfast was a real treat. The position just inside the old city walls made it the ideal base from which to explore Evora. |

All the staff were most helpful and friendly and made a great effort to make sure that we had everything we needed There is no dinner at the hotel although there are plenty of good restaurants nearby |

The staff was wondful. Specifically, the very lovely and helpful lady at the reception, and the charming multi-lingual young woman waiting tables at the breakfast room. Breakfast was one of a kind. Mostly organic and home made, rich and very tasty. The underground parking was a bit tight for our large family car. |

The staff were very very helpful. Parking on site. Easy access to hotel in the old city and easy exit out to the road to Lisboa. Location is perfect for exploring within the old city walls. Breakfast was wonderful. Outside lounge area with drinks and tapas. Inside, comfy chairs to read and relax. Quiet for sleeping and thick Portugese towels and nice amenities in the bathroom. |

On my portugal holiday evora my favorite town and albergaria do calvario my favorite hotel. From the minute you enter the hotel, the staff make you feel at home. The breakfast was fresh and wonderful; and if I was sitting in the courtyard reading they would bring me a pot of coffee without asking. They planned our whole stay to perfection. The owners peter and nina know how to run a place perfectly. I will reccomend this hotel to all of my friends. Thankyou phyllis g from new york |

I liked the clean room, the covered parking, the internet, the breakfast, and most of all I liked the people who worked in the hotel. They were all very kind and enthusiastic about making us feel comfortable. We liked being able to have a glass of wine and tapas in the courtyard. Only one small detail, the bed was a little hard and I did not like the material used to cover the mattress. It made the sheets slip and slide. |

The Albergaria do Calvario is a beautiful converted olive oil mill that's located within the walls of the delightful city of Evora. The hotel has a fabulously helpful staff, beautifully appointed rooms, the best breakfast I had in all of Portugal, and a fantastic house wine list (not to mention wireless Internet access). It's the perfect place to stay in Evora! |

This place is perfectly located inside the city walls. It has a nicely decorated lobby and outside space for some wine and tapas. Bedroom was also impecable and the breakfast was exquisite. The attentive staff make you feel truly welcome. Great place. |

1. Attention to detail for example the breakfast buffet explaining where all the local produce comes from. Information around the hotel about events in Evora that day. Breakfast buffet info with the daily weather etc.2. The public areas are very tastefully decorated and very cosy and welcoming. I didn't know about the early evening activities (wine + tapas) until the next morning. i would have had some if I had known! |

The staff did everything they could to be helpful and the hotel had a perfect location within walking distance of all the Evora sights. Plus the hotel and room was beautiful, cozy and welcoming. Breakfast was also fantastic. It was a great experience! Can't think of a thing. |

We stayed for one night only, but would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is beautiful, quiet, with lots of character and very close to all the main sites in Evora. The owners really care about their guests and the breakfast is no doubt the best we've got in Portugal. Altogether a very special experience. |

The welcoming was A1. We were addressed by our christian names during our stay as were all the guests. Nothing was too much trouble from the owners and their staff. The attention to detail was superb and still had a very relaxed atmosphere. Decor was out of this world and as for the breakfast........The choice and quality of the food was amazing. Don't be mistaken by this being a small hotel. We stayed in 6 different hotels on our travels and this topped everyone. We can't wait to go back and have a 2nd honeymoon!!! :) :) :) Wished we had stayed longer. Nothing you could not like |
