La situation géographique de cet hôtel est extraordinaire. Le personnel est très courtois et souriant. Tout est bien. Les tables de jeux du casino ouvrent très tard. J'aurais bien aimé que le poker soit du type "des Caraîbes" car cela rend le jeu beaucoup plus intéressant. |

La situation de l'établissement et sa piscine formidable. C'est loin d'être un 5 étoiles, 3 tout au plus, mobilier vieux des années 70 complétement cassé. Moquette décollée au sol, trace d'humidité au plafond, clim en panne tout ça dans une suite.... |

The Staff was always very helpful and attentive. Spacious and comfortable room. The breakfast buffet was good but not great. The "embutidos" or cold cut meats were very low grade but the rest of the food of good quality. |

I liked the salt water pool and the beautiful beach. The boardwalk location was very nice. The rooms were adequate but nothing special. There were air conditioning problems but they moved us after being uable to fix it. |

Location of the Hotel and the pool are very good. Unlike the rest of the staff the maid service has remained very good. We have booked this hotel every year for the last four years with booking.com and enjoyed every visit except this one. Now the hotel is starting to look tired, especialy the rooms. The staff are not as helpfull as they used to be and the poolside cafe is useless due to under staffing and lazy staff. |

Ease of access to downtown, beautiful location, wonderful pool with plenty of loungers. The breakfast was fantastic, we didn't have time to sample dinner unfortunately. Queues at checkout, we just left our room key as not enough time to wait. A quick check box would have been helpful |

I found the front desk staff helpful. The hotel needs renovating, as it is neat and clean but dated. The public areas around reception are very nice. All in all I was quite pleased with my quick two day seaside getaway and found the hotel reasonable value for money at this time of year. Not a huge issue, bu the staff in the breakfast room are rude, unhelpful and uncaring. They have obviously spent too long in these jobs (decades probably) and take the guests totally for granted. The older staff members are especially unpleasant. My suggestion: don't take the breakfast or board option and go out for breakfast at any of the local cafes which all looked inviting. |

I liked the fact that the bell boy spoke fluent English but I think this is everywhere in Portugal as Portuguese are really language skilled and service oriented. The hotel uses natural beauty products in bathrooms. I did not like the following: the room (very very very old furnitures, bad quality bed linen, very old white plastic table and chairs in the balcony, very old minibar fridge, wires coming out of the cupboard which barely wanted to open, very small and old bathroom). Breakfast at the coffee shop (the queue looks like the one we see in supermarkets on big sale dates) consequently I did not want to wait 2 hours so I left immediately. Parking (we had to park our car 10 walking distance from the hotel in a parking that belongs to the hotel, this is absoloutely not 5 star standards). Last but not least before booking my room on booking.com I called the hotel if they have any rooms left they said yes and the rate would be 250 Euros its a joke!!! |

Staff friendly and very courteous. Food excellent. Poolside not overcrowded plenty of loungers. Bedrooms require updating especially Floors and wardrobes. otherwise very clean. |

the standard of the Hotel far surpassed wha we were expecting very much a 5 star hotel in every way. the only small complaint would be the Casino was quite expensive for placing a flutter on...other than that no complaints at all.. |

Very nice location, well designed lobby, bar, rooms. Restaurant at the swimming pool served high quality food/snacks. Easy acces to the beach. Reception helped us finding alternative transport as we were blocked due to the Vulcanic ashcloude. Fitness room was minor. Minibar was locked. |

Staff were friendly, one porter was especially polite and helpful. Excellent location. Bathrooms were very spacious and casino was good fun. The tiles in the bedroom were not very attractive. There was no complimentary water which you would normally have in a 5*. Nice hotel but not the equivalent to the 5* hotels in Ireland. |

The location to the beach, the staff and the design of the hotel also I thought the shower was great. I was amazed taat there was not any tea or coffee making facilities and that there was not an iron in the room either. |

The situation of the hotel is beautiful overlooking the wonderful beach of Praia da Rocha. Worth the extra cost for a seaview room with balcony. Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms, great breakfast buffet and helpful staff. Public areas, gardens and pools very well kept, lots of sunbeds. One very small niggle -the coffee at breakfast could be much better! |
