Location. You can sit on balcony and see one of the main Lisbon streets. 1. Some rooms are stinky! The smell from the toilet is awful 2. After room change - the second room shower cabin has a leak, so after taking shower you should wash the floor. 3. In some rooms the toilet is hard to seat in case of no space. 4. A bit noisy, in case of city center placement 5. Staff... i saw it twice - when i paid for hotel and when i waste some time to find somebody to change my room in case of bad smell from the toilet. At last day - i do not find anybody to leave keys... Assume no staff at all. 6. Room is not clean, i saw some hairs in the 'clean' bed.

Nice furnitured, small Twin Room with Balcony. Bed was nice, Basin and bidet in the room. Location is good and quiet. I love the Tea/Coffee Maker in the kitchen. Wifi in my room was perfect. One of the 2 showers is very sophisticated, make sure you understand how it works, otherwise the cold water will give you a heart attack without possibility to escape. The other shower need to be repaired, now works as a crane.

Location is ideal, period. However, this is the only good thing I can say about this place. Although the shared bathroom had been recently upgraded. It smelled like mold/mildew in many places and facilities are sparse.

The location is excellent. You can't beat the distance to the metro or the other tourist spots (Ave Liberdade), Bairro Alto, Baixa/Chiado itself etc. I also liked the room I stayed in (though I had to ask for it -- see below), with double doors opening up to a cute, tiny terrace. I loved the cheerful green curtains in my room, along with the old tile and uneven floor. I also found the staff to be friendly. My shower had cold water initially, but when I asked the staff about it (in Portuguese), she figured out the gas bottle had to be changed and the problem was solved in 5mins. The room they were going to put me in, did not resemble the description in booking.com at all (no shower, toilet, etc). I asked for another and they reluctantly gave me a much better one with a shower. Additionally, there was no tv, iron, fridge etc. Not that I really wanted these things -- but do not book the room thinking you will get these amenities. It is basic. I also found a lot of various hairs on the sheets -- but luckily have had no ill effects! The stairs were a bit of a pain, but if you are prepared for them, they are not terrible. Mind you, I only had one bag with me that I had to haul up and down the stairs. Oh and the lock at the bottom has a trick -- just stick the very tip of they key in and turn it to the right. Do NOT try to put the whole key inside the lock -- you'll never get in.

The location and rates are good. The wireless internet didn't work, the hot water was not available on all days, one of us had a cockroach in his room, and another had a bad smell coming out of the sink.

Location, location, location. It was also quite clean. Staff could improve their English, small rooms which need some refreshment. Strange noises out of the sink in our room each night long.

This guest house couldn't be in a better location, and on the fourth floor so you are removed from most of the street noise below. It looks like it has been recently renovated, and all room fittings are new. There are even multiple power points for recharging all your electrical appliances. The kitchen is good if you want to make breakfast (but no cooking), and there is a supply of used books available (including guide books). Some thought has gone into rooms, with two bedside lamps both working (that's rare!), comfortable pillows, and a shower gel dispenser. There's even a built-in radio in the shower so you don't have to sing by yourself. We had a small balcony overlooking the pedestrian street below. There are many cafes and restaurants very close by and the tourist info booth is a two minute walk. "Parking" was in a public street 30 minutes' walk away. Be prepared to carry your bags up 76 steps to the fourth floor. Staff were ok, if a little reserved.

Location is great. Quick walk from Rossio and very easy locate. The walk up the stairs with gear is tough, but I expected it. You get what you pay for. It is a cheap, old hotel in a great Lisbon location. There is only a bidet and sink in your room and it can be noisy from the street. If you want better, you've got to pay for it. They also let me keep my bags in the room for 3hrs after checkout without any problem. Location is easy to locate but it is somewhat of a lame Lisbon location. it's in the low district so the streets are modern full of boring and cheap tourist clothing stores. However, it is very accessible to both Barrio Alto and Alfama so long as you are prepared to walk

Mainly because it is cheap and you are right in the centre of the old Lisbon. The room where we stayed was quite nice with a private bathroom. There's also a kitchen with a living room and if I am not wrong, all the bedrooms have a small balcony. I strongly advise you this one if you are looking for a cheap place to stay and at the same time enjoy a comfortable time in Lisbon. This is what you are looking for. Again, location is perfect! Bedroom wasn't that big, bathroom had a strange smell, maybe because it was renewed, a bit old flat but comfortable.

The location is just perfect! Our room (408) had new bathroom with great shower (massage, music, ....)!!! Amazing! The room was very clean and spacious, with balcony. I would recommend Aljubarrota for all independent travelleres who do not need a special attention of hotel/reception, just need a nice place to stay :-) Was a great weekend. Thank you!

O sossego! O acesso à Internet grátis nos quartos! O preço e o check-in até ás 16h00 (Promoção)!

“Location of the Hotel which was close to the Tram and Bus systems. Close to all the old parts of Lisbon which we wanted to visit we could basically walk everywhere. Close to excellent shopping. The morning breakfast coffee was excellent. The staff very friendly and very helpful. Excellent value for money much better accommodation than we expected. My sister and I travelled from New Zealand and were most impressed. The twin room we had was spacious.” Margaret, Auckland |

“It is located in the heart of the city (Rossio/Baixa) and it's a stone's throw away from the Metro station and Aerobus drop-off/pick up points (Restauradores). It is also within close proximity to a lot of restaurants and shops and also a few seconds away from one of the few Starbucks I found in the city. The staff were EXTREMELY nice and accommodating, also they spoke perfect English so there was no problem communicating with them.” Mary, Muntinlupa |
