Almedina Coimbra Hotel    

The staff was really professional and very helpfull. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is in the city centre, so it's easy to move from the hotel, even without taking any buses.

The place has seen better days and could use an update, but at that price, it's perfectly understandable.

I had a nice big quiet room with a balcony and a partial view of the river. Wifi worked well, and the TV had dozens of cable channels. The bus to the University stopped right front of the hotel. Its about 300 m from the train station on a flat, well-lit street.

I've liked the fact that Comfort Inn is very well located, we may say at "downtown" and the parking facilities there is something great!!

Room was spacious and clean. NO DIRTY CARPET IN THIS ONE!!! Everything was we hoped it would be.

The vending machine for tea/coffee didn't appear to cater for people who don't take sugar!

Comfort Inn Almedina Coimbra is a wonderful hotel. Spacious rooms and toilets, great facilities and an excellent breakfast!

Spacious rooms, very generous breakfast, impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, and very good location. Given Coimbra's limited availability of accommodation options (for a city of it's size), I found this hotel to be a good bang for the buck.

Located on a very busy street. If you reach the hotel by car, you have practically no other option than to park on the private parking lot next to the hotel. There are no recreation facilities in this hotel.

Great location, only 5 min from Praca Comercio; close to trainstation and busstops, close to Mondego River. Clean and spacious room. Nice view over city centre. Breakfast: big variety of tasty food, clean. Elevator. Fridge. Overall very good experience.

The mattress was quite hard.

Our room was enormous, with satellite television, a huge bathtub and a terrace. The bed was really comfortable and the staff were kind and helpful. And it all came for a really cheap price!

On our terrace there was two chairs but no table, it would have been nice to have dinner out there. But otherwise, everything was perfect!!

Very nice staff. Good breakfast. Good location.

Wireless internet a bit dificult to catch, but it was fair.

Hotel is within walking of both the bus station and the city historic center, 5 mins each direction. The room we had was very large, with a minibar for sandwiches that we purchased from the supermarkets. The beds were hard which we like very much but not new. In general the hotel is old and although a value for the money and location, the carpeting is a disgrace. The carpets in the rooms were beige at one time and now they are dark with footprints I guess from bad weather and people's dirty shoes through the years. They need to be replaced or shampooed. Otherwise, although old, the hotel was convenient and good for city, backpackers and families but don't take your shoes off until you are ready for bed. The breakfast which is included is good, cold cuts, bread, cereal, coffee, tea etc.

It is an old hotel showing some age but good except for the carpets see above. Would recommend if you bring slippers to walk, do not go barefoot.

The hotel is very close to the railway station. Spacious bath. From the window You have a marvellous view on the historic city center of coimbra. Everybody is very helpfull and welcoming. The hotel has seen better days but the price-quality-relation is good.

Good location & very good value for ££ (we paid £44 for 2 people for 1 night)
