The eateries in the area were very good value, the city is absolutely stunning and easy get around
The bathroom was not cleaned properly and I got 3 huge mosquito bites I think which were highly infected!
We were lucky to have a room in the 8th floor. I think it has been renovated recently. Room was spacious with light and clean. breakfast was good (eggs, yogurts, cereal, bread, tea chocolate, juice). Easy access to metro. (4 stations to downtown).
The staff in front desk don't smile. They won't take the initiative to give you tips, or show you a map. (they didn't have proper maps either). Just the ones that promote the tourist buses. I asked about buses to get from downtown to hotel and they were not informed. (I assumed this is because they work long hours and there is only one person in the front desk. So they are not happy with their work) They forgot to put new toilet paper and shampoo in the room. We had to ask for it.
Food was good
More light in the halls and inside de room.
Large room, nice staff
Ordered a taxi-shuttle to airport via reception of the hotel, taxi was too late and too small.
Lisbon has many hotels, but it is often difficult to find a place which is comfortable enough, reasonably priced and in a good location. The Almirante is not in a bad location, but the area is not particularly attractive or interesting. A metro stop nearby helps, but only a little. The hotel is modernish and offers a reasonable degree of space and comfort for the price. If it had been in a nicer spot I would have approved of it more.
It should be noted that the hotel has mostly twin rooms and very few double rooms. If you are intending a romantic weekend away, you may be disappointed.
Price and location (easy access to anything because "clean" Metro 50 meters from entrance.
Basically all! Check-in at 2.30 pm (2.00 pm per advert with Booking.com) the front-desk manager reacts on "why is room not ready?" with "Go somewhere else when you do not like it" . First night stay after room finished--> no towels...Second night after room make up --> No towels (took 4 recalls at reception and 1 hour!) You need to pay Euro 3 per night for the safety box (!) in your room on top of the room price (not advertised). Parking on site Euro 10 per night extra. Minibar not working for 1.5 days and the argument from front-desk and the tech. was "this is a minibar and therefor should not be cold" Breakfast is 'celebrated' with Nescafe. For real coffee you have to pay Euro 1.50 . When we came at 9.15 am for breakfast the scrambled eggs were finished. I was told by the waiter " you need to come earlier to get scrambled eggs (Note breakfast is till 10.30 am). With the beer as ordered at the bar came a wine-glass. Asking for a beer-glass instead returned from the waiter "they are already all broken". Wifi only on ground-floor in reception and bar area (fast though). In bathroom (bedroom) no soap (only body wash). On ground-floor next to reception the man's toilet stinks worth for urine than the Brussel's Metro (!). Upon check-in the receptionist told us that we got a quite room in the back. Seems not to know his hotel: Front located room with renovation on 5th floor below us
Good location, 3 subway station from city centre; breakfast is as usual; clean room+ air conditioning
Old-school furniture in the room. Wi-fi is only in lobby - that is a bit inconveniently
Confortevole e a due passi dalla metro
Price, ease if booking, friendly doorman, easy access to town centre, easy to find, easy access to airport.
Room a bit dated
A nice hotel which will meet your expectations. Nice tolietries available in the room. Staff are very helpful and kind. The location is good, the metro station is just outside the hotel and the touristic centre is just 2-3 stops away.
The room was very clean and big, the location was great, as well as breakfast
The check in process was not smooth, and the fd agent was not helpful at all when asking about parking or activities in the hotel and did not make us feel welcome
We paid premium for the romantic room as it was our wedding anniversary. A bottle of sparking wine and chocolate should be waiting for us. Unfortunately, nothing was there but the bathroom tiles were full of moulds and carpet was disgustingly dirty. After complains sparking wine arrived with the chocolates (two Mars bars). Miraculously bathroom was refreshed next day, but not the carpet. I have invited two member of the staff to the room asking if in their opinion the room was romantic. Received two negative answer. Manageress was not around to talk to. My wife consider my ability to book romantic holiday as very poor and therefore it is reflection on the hotel rating. We rated hotel 2 out of 10 - big failure.
friendly and helpful personel, clean and cosy room, location near metro station, location on intercultural area
Location and value
The carpet is disgusting. It needs to be changed. I booked a room with 4 beds which was confirmed by booking.com, but we were told at the hotel that the rooms can't fit more than three beds. The kids had to share a small rollaway bed.
Good connection to the green metro line for the city centre as well as the airport
The window in my room on the 9th floor didn't close properly, which allowed the street noise to enter. There is no WiFi in the rooms, which is outdated for a hotel in this class.
No WiFi in room.
The hotel was quite old, the carpet looked a little disgusting. On the day of our check-out they told us that the hotel is being renovated soon, what explains it's current condition.
Time seen hotel in a great location and very friendly staff.
Wi-Fi worked sometimes, sometimes not.
Great location with a metro stop to city centre right on the doorstep. Well equipped and spacious rooms.
Staff is helpful.
They don't have wi-fi everywhere, only in reception etc.
breakfast mirror in bathroom.
The room was dirty, looked overused. It was an opening-hol inside the closet which made us fill worried. the sink was not working properly so we had to use the sink of the bath...we ask for another room but they didnt provide neither technical support nor any price reduction for the facilities described above in very poor condition .
Great value Great staff Located right next to Anjos metro station and only a few minutes walk from the port and lots of Lisbon's beautiful sites.
There was nothing I didn't like
wifi not working at all, water leak in rooms & bad drainage
Breakfast, free parking.
La zona un poco peligrosa en la noche
