I booked this hotel due to the photos. Don't trust them.
The finishes are shabby and the rest of the hotel, not in the photos, is out of fashion, old and seedy. not a modern 5 stars at all. A partial refurbishment.
But even though is not a 5 stars at all also is not a loving 3 stars. I think there is too much vanity, reflected in the too high prices, and the excess of visible staff like valets, or waiters, and a relative lack of invisible staff like cooks, cleaners or maintenance service.
The effects of that can be seen in oddities like when I arrived 3 people competed to carry my 3 suitcases, something completely unnecessary because there were 3 adults of us. Besides, the restaurants (not the breakfast buffet, which is average, meaning good), are extremely expensive, not for the prices itself, nor for the on the other side good quality, but for the ridiculous amount of meals that you are going to have for your money.
If you only see the prizes, for instance a plate of shrimp with garlic and oil sauce for one, over 36€ , you can't imagine you're going to have only 6 frozen shrimp, the size of 4 cm long each. and the same for the rest of the plates, xtrasmall and overprized. So, you should better avoid it unless you're a fashion model.
To say more, 2 or 3 waiters (yes, the restaurant is logically empty and they are all for you) are going to bother you each two minutes offering unnecessary services like pouring water (and only pouring a sip a time in the bottom of your glass, so you need to order expensive water again), or offering you small pieces of bread, or oil, or salt, cleaning the bread crumbs on the table, taking the plates away when you're not finish...
Unfortunately I had to go to the toilets ( I have a 4 years old daughter and she can't wait)and everithing, specially the WC was disgusting, better not say more...
