The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also quite big. The location is excellent. I found the charge for internet service extremely high. |

Very good service and elegance; friendly, educated and helpful staff; really comfortable. Close to metro and shops. Very good quality/price balance. Old rooms, could use a renew. Services at bar always different day by day without a standard you can recognize. To have to pay for internet connection is annoying. |

Very comfortable, clean, lots of space, excellent location ( walked everyday to Bairro Alto) and food is great! single beds turned into double bed- a crack in the middle- not that comfortable for couples |

The bathroom. Staff too cool. No personal touch. First and last stay at this so called 5 star hotel. The porter was more interested in getting a tip than helping with the bags. |

The staff were good, the room was large and clean, the facilities were more than adequate for a short business stay. The airport stuttle did not start operating until 09:30 which wasn't advertised on the website, many business flights will be earlier than this; as this was a major reason I chose to stay in this hotel, it defeated the purpose slightly that I couldn't use it. |

We chose this hotel because of the reduced rate,location and pool/sauna/steam. We were expecting the worst having read some of the reviews, but were wonderfully suprised by the hotel. Okay it's dated in it's style, but all that smoked glass, wood and marble just adds to the charm! The bedrooms initially seemed a little drab and beige, but that's such a small point. Bathrooms were a good size. Plenty of TV channels. The staff and service were exceptional. We stayed in on two evenings to have drinks in the bar, got our wine at half price with loads of free nibbles and canapes. Buffet breakfast was huge, get it included in the deal, overheard reception telling a couple it was 18 euros each. The location is good, we walked into the Bairro Alto everyday, took about 15 mins. Investigate some of the local bars and restaurants on the opposite side of Ave.Liberdade, much cheaper. Taxi to airport was less than 10 euros, even in rush hour. |

"So 70's!!" This hotel is in serious need of a referbishment, the beds were uncomfortable, the whole interior is tired and dated. The staff were competent, the restaurant is satisfactory, the bar serves drinks which helped prepare you for the uncomfortable beds each night! The hairdryer is average/poor at best! (Wife) |

Location This is not a five star hotel.Maybee it was five star when it was new in the 70 s.Hotel really need renovation.When you go into the hotel is like stepping back in time, design is really 1970 s. |

The friendliness of the staff in both bars and the "snack-bar" place on the ground floor. The barman in the upper bar gave us several "tasters" and was very obviously knowledgeable on the subject of his countries wines. He could persuade me to enter the place again as a visitor but not as a guest. Arriving late as always, thanks to ba, had the usual hassle about credit card validation. Two days into our stay, they changed the breakfast venue from the large restaurant on the second floor to a much smaller room on the opposite side of the building. |
