Hotel Alto Lido  

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very friendly staff, easy and convenient guests parking, good location 10min away by car from central Funchal and walk distance from seaside locations. Pubs, restaurants and shops surrounding the hotel. The swimming pools were quite good and I only found the towel service slightly complicated as from 17:00 o'clock you can't really get them but anyway... I used the ones from the room. Very complete and tasty breakfast: both continental and buffet breakfast.

The only negative point was the high rates for the use of the locker in the room. A 4 star hotel should have lockers free of charge or at least a really insignificant price for tthe whole stay and not per day.

When we arrived to the hotel there was a very friendly and helpful young lady at the reception. She even came out to help us when she saw that we were going to a wrong door. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Our room was peaceful and clean and we had a nice sea-view from the 5th floor.

The staff was excellent and very helpful. The hotel has good gym, table tennis facilities and the pool is also very good. The happy hours in the bar were also great, the cocktails are excellent. The courtesy bus was very useful when we did not feel to take the 25-30 minutes walk to the city center. But walking in the nice streets and next to the beach were also great.

Wifi was only available in the lobby and the connection was slow.

Rooms cleaned everyday....really good swimming pool and solarium...very efficient reception staff...rooms..shuttle bus....quite a lot!

Entertainment not on long enough.....internet too expensive..........Breakfast was good over-all but coffee and tea was very poor.

Location. Bus service from hotel to city center. Good breakfast. Big and clean room. Free parking space. Helpful and friendly staff.

Pool without direct sun from 18pm.

Cleaning ladies were excellent.

Door to the balcony cannot be opened from the other side. Be wary of its momentum while sliding. You can easily lock yourself out. Pools were small, cold, not heated.

As imagens incluídas no site são enganadoras. As instalações do hotel são mais antigas do que a ideia que é dada nas fotografias do site oficial. O quarto nem sempre foi bem aspirado. Alguns funcionários foram bastante antipáticos quando abordados, mostrando alguma relutância em ajudar quando o seu auxílio foi solicitado.

Limpeza e conforto. Pequeno almoço. Transportes.

Tudo como eu gosto , tudo sem stress

O sistema de abertura da porta da garagem esta mal situada . deveria estar no inicio da rampa de saida e não ao meio como esta .
