Location of the Hotel is excellent - Breakfast buffett was very good with lots of variety for all tastes - We were upgraded to a Sea View as soon as we checked in which was truly lovely and made our stay even more special

The cleaning of my room was always done after 4p.M. during my whole staying (f9 days) in the hotel.

the rooms were very clean, the cleaners did a good job. Also plenty of hot water in the shower

i didnt like that you had to wear a swimming cap in the pool or that you had to pay extra to use the steam room and sauna. Also tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be nice

We were given a free upgrade to a room with a balcony. Everywhere was very clean from reception to the room itself and even the public toilets. The buffet breakfast had a large variety to choose from and the sandwiches we had from the bar were superb. We did not have dinner in the hotel as we wanted to sample the local restaurants. We had a splendid 3 night stay at this hotel and would not hesitate to return. Thank You, our trip went without a hitch!

It was very relaxing. The staff were very helpful at all times. The weather was very good.

I didn't like having to pay for Safety Deposit Box. I have been to many hotels and I think the last time I paid for a safety deposit box was about 20 years ago. I also found the €3 charge per hour for wireless internet expensive as I would like to check the internet four or five times in the day so this would make it very expensive so I didn't use the internet so much.

Value for money! Really great experience!

Staff are helpfull, sea view rooms are good size and have great views,Hotel well positioned to use the resort bars and resturants. Free local golf transport, easy parking if you have hire car.

Breakfasts are repetative, more varity needed.

The hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere, was very clean and staff friendly. Ideal for a short break, lots of golfers staying, which was not a problem-nightmare for me though as we were just there for a relaxing few days without my clubs! Only had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, as ate out in Marina for lunch and Dinner-3 minute walk from hotel., However food and variety at breakfast was excellent-even sparkling wine if you need it! Would highly recommend, had complimentary upgrade from supierior double to junior suite, huge room, only minor problem was that the bed was so rock hard so not the greatest of sleeps!

During our short stay in Vilamoura, we were very pleased with the vg Ampalius Hotel. We found the staff very friendly and pleasant to deal with. We were fully satisfied with the standard of the bedroom and that of the hotel in general. Even though this is a large holiday resort hotel, catering for large numbers of guests, the buffet breakfast operated smoothly and efficiently. The hotel is beside the beach and only a few minutes walk away from the Marina, restaurants, etc. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel.

The location near the beach, the marina and Quarteira is almost perfect and the choice at the buffet breakfast was very good. The view from the room, was also excellent.

If you stay at the casino side of the hotel, which we did, you have to put up with disco nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday which go on till 6 in the morning. So if you want to avoid the noise, ask for a room away from the Casino.

Location was excellent, directly across from beach, close to town centre and marina area. Also good starting out point for walking the very extensive and well appointed promenade fronting onto the long beach at the eastern end of the town. The hotel complex is well laid out and organised in an efficient yet pleasant manner. Our room had a substantial balcony looking down onto the pool area and beach in a south facing direction. This made for all day sun, but its design allowed for shaded sections at all times as well. The staff were at all times courteous and helpful.

Apart from showing its age a little in the rooms bathroom, and the overly controlled max tv volume (set so low that it could only barely be heard when the room was in a state of complete silence), we had virtually no other gripes.

Generally excellent

Never anything in the fridge in our room, no water, no drinks, nothing.
